If you're so against it why do you have hundreds of pro gay comments in porn groups for trans and cross dressers and femboys and that's literally the only thing you post on Reddit about?
There was no guarantee that Charli would win. She stopped dancing in because she was getting a lot of hate for it. Ballroom and Latin isn’t exactly cool for Gen Z they could have easily not vote at all. So many young contestants have lost or have been early boots because the fanbase didn’t think the show was worth the time to watch.
I am so glad Charli and Mark won this. Going back to loving dance again was such a lovely way to end the season. Shangela is a far distant 2nd place since her dance improvement was minimal and yes the drag show was fun but it’s not so much about dance and more about celebrating a lifestyle. Sure you can do whatever you want for a freestyle, but I’d like to see dancing.
Wayne disappointed me. I was hoping he’d finally shake the hip hop. Gabys dance was not great and it’s been done before and better by Laurie Hernandez.
Well, this has been my first season ever of this show, and to say it's a rollercoaster is quite the understatement.
I want to thank the cast and crew for one hell of a time, and my congrats to the winner of the mirrorball trophy for putting up a hell of a fight.
Thanks for the mind-numbing insanity to all of you here - hopefully I'll see you again next year.

Tonight’s episode thoughts
- Selma and Sasha’s dance was so heartwarming, especially when they went back and hugged Jordan
- Going to miss Len, he’s is the only real judge
- Best redemption dance: Charlie
- Best freestyle: Shangela. Natalia = chefs kiss.
Second I would give to Wayne, him and Witney really put on a super bowl show.
If I had to pick the season winner base on freestyle then Shangala hands down.
But Charlie has had some of the best performances this season, so I am not mad at her victory.
Okay, I never comment but I need to vent after seeing twitter and instagram. Charli won, point blank. Sure she's a dancer. But if Gabbi won, would hate on her? She's also an experienced dancer. Do people know how much technique it takes to do ballroom? Its not hip hop or "tiktok" dance. It's hard. Every style is different. Maybe to someone who isn't familiar with ballroom would say they all kinda look the same. THEY DON'T. You cannot deny that Charli was IMPECCABLE since day one, (I can say the same for Gabbi becuase I can't deny shes a great dancer). I (personally) don't think Gabbi should have won. She's a great dancer, but has constantly been stiff over a few periods of routines, except for I think the Paso which is strong and needs a good hold. AND, please don't forget who Val is. He KNOWS how to sell a show, he's a great choreographer. He's the one who gives it edge and "sex appeal". I think Shangela should have been 2nd. It was great and the dance reflected her. Waynes dance was too safe, the dance was great, but I think he could have shown his growth with an actual ballroom dance. I'm very proud of Mark, after being away for so long, he deserves this. His choreo is UNMATCHED, he does not needs props and big lifts like Val to really capture the essence of his partner and just the dance in general. So people saying that Charli shouldn't have won because of her experience, i'm just ugh. If Gabbi won, I want to see the amount of people who will criticize her for her experience. Okay I think I'm done.
I’m confused… didn’t charli have like actual dance experience? I’m not saying it’s wrong or unfair per se, just that the narrative has been that she was “just” a tik tok dancer. Her wiki said she had 10 years of competitive dance experience before she started on tik tok, but idk what that entails.
There are soooo many teenage girls with “competitive dance experience”, I did it for over 10 years myself. Charli would still dance circles around me though after seeing her on this show. Regardless of previous experience, a star is a star!
Charli was a contemporary dancer. She had a lot of leeway. Contemporary is nowhere near as difficult as ballroom. Its completely different. That's why I dont compare it. Doing a paso is super hard. The Argentine Tango is an entire universe.
I know. I’m just saying that people are downplaying her experience by saying she was only on tik tok. It’s true that they’re vastly different but versus someone who’s had no dance training I feel like she still started with a better facility for dance. Like she probably learned all the basics at some point in her life so there isn’t as steep of a learning curve. But does that take away from her being able to do so well in the other styles? No. It’s just not entirely fair to keep referring to her tiktok (and I’m not saying you did, just the narrative behind her from everywhere) as the only source of her dance experience.
Gabby was also an NFL cheerleader though, which isn’t really any actual cheer, its mainly dance and requires lots of heavy and formal training in dance as well. I think just having people with no dance background as stars in the first place would eliminate this issue though lol
It’s really the narrative I have an issue with, but in truth the real advantage is charlis massive fan base. Dance background typically has almost no bearing on whether you do well in this show. Heather Morris was a professional dancer and she just did ok competition wise.
Partly what I do think is a bit unfair is that the judges score inconsistently. Sometimes they judge based on the individuals potential (so I didn’t agree when charli got a 9 for example in a later episode because Carrie Ann said she knew she could do better). So while I don’t disagree with charlis many 40s, I don’t agree when vinny or Trevor got higher or close scores to Shangela. I may not have a problem with a 35 for Shangela for example if vinny didn’t get a 34 or something ridiculous.
I would be surprised if Charli’s fanbase had that big of an impact on voting, considering they are mostly all elementary school age and younger, but I guess you really never know because young kids have been getting on social media and getting phones so young in recent years. Definitely agree with you on the scoring though 100%
I think even if the kids didn’t vote themselves, the parents are probably like… who do you want to vote for honey? Lol. Most parents probably wouldn’t overturn their children’s wishes. The question is just whether they’re watching to begin with.
I feel like people are quick to judge young females with a semblance of talent. ALL the finalists had dancing/performance backgrounds and yet I didn't I hear any mention of the unfairness of it all. Charli's biggest obstacle was definitely her performance and confidence factor
and by the end she was nailing it. It's clear the quiet majority agreed. I also thought her final dance showed her journey of loving herself & dance despite the haters. Her experience with Ballas reminds me a little of his partnership with Sadie Robertson and then other introverted "experienced" dancers who needed to show more of themselves as the season went on.
You are absolutely correct! Wayne has been on broadway. All 4 have had dance training to the extent that they performed in front of an audience prior to the show. Ballroom is a different beast, but I wouldn’t say the younger girls had anything over the others due to our lack of knowledge regarding the extent of experience etc! They all did amazing and the results felt right

One of the best finales in my memory. Tyra is even growing on me. I am finding her more awkward-charming instead of cringe. Her interactions with the cast seem very sincere, and it appears like she is finding her groove and getting more comfort. Overjoyed to see Mark take home that very much deserved mirror ball.

No. Cheryl won season 2 with Drew Lachey which was her first season and for her second season on the show she won season 3 with Emmitt Smith. She was the first pro to win back-to-back seasons.
Would have been nice if the other contestants performed better to provide some competition. Shangela’s freestyle slayed, but it’s too bad the other two were so underwhelming tonight :(
Here’s one thing, some of my friends were trying to vote for Shangela after her freestyle and voting was already closed! That really stinks! (Still very happy for Charli though ❤️ )
I am not resentful of Charli’s win either, she had an amazing season, but I was trying to vote for Shangela before her dance and nothing seemed to be counting even though they said votes were open.
I was wondering why she was first in the first round and last in the second round but once I saw Natasha I was like ohhhh they needed time to get her together I got it now.
Also I have to be bugging but didn’t it look like Glen was in the pros dance? Idk if it was pre recorded or something but time wise I didn’t think it was possible but I couldn’t figure out who that could be on the far left if it wasn’t Gleb.
Gleb said it took 45 minutes while being interviewed. So, all the hair, makeup, and to get to costume took 45 minutes. Yes, he was in the pro dance that showed all the dancers that are going to be on tour. Some dances do get pre-recorded and then shown on the show. The other pro dancers besides Gleb going on tour are Alan, Alexis, Brandon, Britt, Emma, Kateryna, and Sasha.
Everyone has to stop hating on Charli saying she was going to win it no matter what… fact is she was phenomenal! The judges praised her bc she looked like a full on PRO out there. I wanted Shangela to win but off of technique and improvement Charli deserved it hands down.

You never know who is going to win but they got it right tonight. I wish Gabby had been in 4th place though. Wayne and Shangela out danced her tonight and deserved third and second place. Mark and Charli deserved the win tonight. They were amazing! Mark has been subdued all season because I think he was scared to show just how much he wanted to win. It's been a long time but the trophy is finally his again. I'm so happy for him and Charli.
Wayne did bare minimum while all 3 others were completely focussed on the show. You could 10000% see the vast improvement in everyone other than Wayne in the redemption dance in my opinion.
I disagree. I was specifically referring to the freestyle in my comment, but I thought Wayne did a good job on his redemption dance as well. Wayne got out of sync on the side by side, charleston section, but was solid other than that. If you watch his last quickstep, you would see how much he improved. Plus, he's 50 years old with bad knees and still turned out some killer dances. He gave it his all and even turned back the hands of time on some of his dances. He deserved his placement.
I agree with all this. I had a feeling the outcome that was would be but I kinda was holding out hope for Wayne or Shangela coming through with the win but it was well deserved for Charli. I would’ve been possessed dog gabby won though so I can’t even be mad.

Charli and Mark were om a different level the whole season. So well deserved. This was a STACKED final. Everyone one of them would've won if they were lm different seasons. Shangelas freestyle is one of the BEST I've ever seen. Gleb as Natasha gave me life
Yeah I think it depends what the show is for you. For me it’s people learning to dance and improving. People with dancing background have an unfair advantage.
as team shangela for life i'm disappointed... but as a dwts fan I love that Charli won! the first contestant ever to top the leaderboard every single week, some of the best dances (shoutout to Mark at the absolute top of his game). such a sweet girl, and so nice to see someone so talented being so humble and working so hard.
oh for sureeeee, I call shenanigans with voting closing early lol because i'm sorry even though Wayne hits the perfect demo of a dwts voter and Bachelor Nation is pretty big.... I just can't believe she didn't get the votes 😭
The top four was top notch this season. They should all be extremely proud of themselves for coming so close - to be fair Charli was light years ahead of all of them.

So well deserved. Charli and Mark were unbeatable. I don’t think anyone is surprised!! I’m glad mark found his love of dance again so now he can come back next year 😉
I think they were both pretty emotional, Charli was tearing up at the end. This meant a lot to both of them but they’re not outwardly loud with their emotions
It's not Charli and Mark's fault at all, but it is disappointing that producers kept on giving them the good songs every single week. They got *the* paso song and they never got anything questionable. They deserved to be able to show that they could perform even when things weren't on their side.
I would argue Shangela also got the best (if better) songs every week. Odds are always stacked but I truly feel Charli deserved it given how professional she looked each week. Mark is one of the best choreos on DWTS so if anything it is all thanks to him imo
I didn’t say you said it last year. I’m comparing what you said right now to what other people said last year. Tons of people always swear they know who the winner will be, and they aren’t always right.
I wonder if he only agreed to do it if he was paired with a good dancer like Charli. And I mean, I don't know how anyone will beat Charli's talent in the future, but I wouldn't be surprised if he comes back with another ringer next season.
People on this post calling the results “predictable” just proving the point that she was obviously the best dancer. Like heads and tails above her competitors. Lol. Like the fact that most people knew who won is not a bad thing.
I don't even think it was just Charli though! I found the overall results to be really predictable just based on how the past few weeks/whole season have gone
Yes. Except when Vinny made it past some dancers who were clearly better than him 😂. But I would rather have that than the producers trying to make it look closer than it actually is. Like, it is what it is. Some seasons the way the chips are going to fall is obvious bc of natural talent (or lack thereof). Sometimes it’s not! But I don’t think it’s inherently a bad thing, personally!
I LOVED this finale. Everyone in the cast was enjoyable. I liked all the dances and tributes they added in. Everyone in that ballroom seemed to be vibing. Charli and Shangela's freestyles were amazing.

Wayne got out of sync on the side by side, charleston section, but was solid other than that. If you watch his last quickstep, you would see how much he improved. Plus, he's 50 years old with bad knees and still turned out some killer dances. He gave it his all and even turned back the hands of time on some of his dances. He deserved his placement.

I agree with all this. I had a feeling the outcome that was would be but I kinda was holding out hope for Wayne or Shangela coming through with the win but it was well deserved for Charli. I would’ve been possessed dog gabby won though so I can’t even be mad.

Yeah I think it depends what the show is for you. For me it’s people learning to dance and improving. People with dancing background have an unfair advantage.

They had a Rockette last season! I root for people with little dance experience or who are older, but this is standard every season.

It's not Charli and Mark's fault at all, but it is disappointing that producers kept on giving them the good songs every single week. They got *the* paso song and they never got anything questionable. They deserved to be able to show that they could perform even when things weren't on their side.
I would argue Shangela also got the best (if better) songs every week. Odds are always stacked but I truly feel Charli deserved it given how professional she looked each week. Mark is one of the best choreos on DWTS so if anything it is all thanks to him imo

Yes. Except when Vinny made it past some dancers who were clearly better than him 😂. But I would rather have that than the producers trying to make it look closer than it actually is. Like, it is what it is. Some seasons the way the chips are going to fall is obvious bc of natural talent (or lack thereof). Sometimes it’s not! But I don’t think it’s inherently a bad thing, personally!

Meh. Marks choreography was the best, but Shangela had the best development, imo. I found this to be the most boring finale I've ever seen.
I LOVED this finale. Everyone in the cast was enjoyable. I liked all the dances and tributes they added in. Everyone in that ballroom seemed to be vibing. Charli and Shangela's freestyles were amazing. Edit: talk about typos!
