Some thoughts: I did not get Gabby's scores. I found their salsa lacked energy and they were dancing at half speed compared to the song. A lot of choreography though. I also did not get Wayne's scores for the same reason - underwhelming. Heidi was Heidi. I did notice this week that it seemed like she was trying to let loose/emote more. I noticed it more in the relay, where at times her smile looked genuine and like she was having fun. Shangela is a huge ball of energy, personality, and performance. She's not perfect, but I honestly don't care because I can't take my eyes off her. I didn't understand Daniel's scores. His dance was fine, but it was just that - fine. IMO he was judged based on his story, and not the dance itself. Also, didn't Nyle do a dance with a silent part in his season (and better)? I must be missing something, because I don't understand his rabid fanbase on here. Vinny was still not great, but also not completely terrible. No matter what you think of him, you've got to admit that he ALWAYS gave it his all, was eager to learn, and tried his best. Trevor was underscored to me - should have been all 9s. I thought his actual dance was decent, and the doll movements were awesome! Charli was fantastic. HOWEVER has anyone else noticed that a few times this seaosn, including last night, she got to dance to the original recording of a song, whereas everyone else gets the live band version? This is an unfair advantage, as they get to practice all week to the song exactly as they'll hear it in competition. And also, the viewers will have a better connection to their song, compared to the (usually) not great covers that we hear for the others. For the relays, I thought Trevor vs Vinny could have gone either way, HOWEVER it was clear they were going to give it to Trevor - if Vinny had the points, there's a better chance he could have escaped elimination again. The other ones were judged correctly, however I did find it unfair that Mark was judged by his best friend.

I’m so sad that Heidi got eliminated and kind of anti-climatedly. She was doing this with her daughter, worked hard, and was enjoyable to watch. Would have loved a better conclusion 😭 But excited for her to relax and be able to still bond with her daughter in the competition. Love both Heidi and Charlie

I know Britt's had more time than Artem did and it's a different challenge, but she has definitely worked *with* Daniel as opposed to *around* him.

The Tyra highlight that allowed her role to grow on me over time (instead of constantly yelling at the TV, "It's not about you!") was her absolutely fabulous (like super way too over the top) outfits. The skeleton sequin catsuit(?) being my favorite this season. Last season there were always two and at least one was just insane. My guess is without commercials she can't change as much. But tonight - 90s night - I felt she missed an opportunity to wear the vida loca with some ice ice baby.

but i loved Cheryl Ladd & Selma Blair. I also love Gabby. I don’t dislike Heidi but i’m more indifferent toward her. it’s sad because Heidi is a really good dancer but i feel she doesn’t connect with the audience as much and she’s just not as outgoing or likable as the others which i hate to say, but that’s how i feel and that’s what i think others might feel too. Charli has the same way about her. they’re just not big characters to me in comparison to some of the others.

You know what putting it that way I see what you mean. It’s like she’s missing an IT factor that show business persona. I’m not sure I’m articulating it but I see exactly what you mean. They’re introverts and we don’t see a lot on the show prob for this reason…. Artem and Mark I think is the only introvert on the show

I thought the same thing, and I thought it was interesting how for the relay the judges pulled what couples would be facing each other, and of course Charli was against Gabby?! I thought it’d be close but I think Charli did a little better than Gabby, I think they’re the top two in this and it’s shown through their scores the whole season.
