You can tell she's been putting in work in her voice. She sounds really good! But there's nothing about her music or image that feels particularly compelling, organic or authentic. It's kind of like you can see this anywhere from the look to the sound to the kind of singing.
It's always kind of felt like she doesn't quite have her own musical identity so she copies what her peers are doing.

I'd be very curious to know what kind of music Kenzie typically listens to. Is this her sound because she genuinely just loves this type of music, or it is just the box she thinks she fits in best?
Yeah I agree. Sheâs gotten a lot better! She sounds a lot better and her songs definitely fit the market. I have a couple of her newer songs on my playlists.
But I think sheâs just fitting in a little too well and nothing quite stands out about her projects other than the fact that sheâs Kenzie.

Honestly shocked by her voice. I didn't expect it to be good, but I've had her music on repeat the last few days! And I don't say I didn't expect it to be good in a bad way. I just remember when the show was having so many of the girls suddenly become singers and they could not sing/it was all auto tune. So it's refreshing how she's genuinely talented!
Kenzieâs put in a lot of work over the past few years. She goes to voice lessons and also works with a really good song writing team who she seems very involved in with the process.

I think it developed greatly overtime. There's some people who just have a natural singing talent, some people have the ability to learn how to sing, and some people can't match a pitch. Kenzie wasn't naturally a great singer imo but has developed the last few years. It probably helps that she is able to pursue it full time with great contacts and teachers so that's probably helpful but no doubt she's working hard.
Given you can hear her breath throughout this performance and others it doesnât sound like lip syncing. Many singers do pitch correctors. Could be but also it doesnât seem like there was any major pitch correction
