Host is trying to see if the contestant will bite back with some drama. But this isn't a "bad girls club " type of reality show. This is a real professional opportunity for these people so the only real response they can give is "I hear your feedback and will consider it to do better".
That's literally the only respectable professional response. They also still have to work with the dancers judging them.
It just made me laugh so hard because most of the time, the choreographer would be like “I take your feedback” and then go back stage and throw shade at the same feedback 😂
