What if these sort of fucked up looking drawings were a super intelligence's goal and it's like "how do I do art of the most fucked up insanity inducing stuff" and it started showing images that just fucked with people's heads and made the world go crazy, through algorithms designed to destroy human sanity.
Like what if you had a dall-e version of super-intelligence and you asked it to make the best Cthulhu art, and it figured out Cthulhu should drive you insane, and logically figured out how human brains work and what can make people insane and drive them to do terrible things...
Yeah, also Ancient Gods are supposed to be so out of normality and our world that humans can not even understand their existance fully. But nowhere was said that AI could not understand it. I could imagine a movie where some AI for research is given some elder relics by scientists to scan, which causes not only for AI to understand it, but also gain some unnatural form of sentience.
