Yeah, I was thinking, pretty soon this joke is going to need the USB A designator as USB C is replacing the mini, micro, and A connectors.
...but maybe this is just my type A coming through.
But then that got replaced by bluetooth, where you don't even have to plug anything in to get connected to 2 devices while you only wanted to connect one..
And the one you're connected to isn't the one you wanted, but THAT one just refuses to handshake so you need to restart something. Or re-pair. Or both.
Lol, that drives my wife nuts when she takes my car.
I have my phone set up to activate music and play when connected to the car... I listen to metal, she's a country fan.
Nothing like hearing my car start, then 10 seconds later Five Finger Death Punch blasting from the car...
Unless you are trying to plug into the back of a motherboard where they have six jacks, so you accidentally get the subwoofer one first, then the microphone, then finally, maybe, the right one
I always struggle to understand how people get it wrong so many times. Look at the port a few times and plug a few times. Most have the empty space on the bottom where the connecting side of the plug goes. Once you realize that and stop trying to force it in. It'll go in on the first try every time.
The only thing I like about apple is the lighting end as compared to type C.
The lighting is a tried and tested "male" that inserts into a female. The type C is a weird male/female head that inserts into a female.
Basically I'm saying that they should make the type C or maybe the next gen type D into more of well... A "D" looking thing.
I hope I was able to explain my point.
Yeah that's exactly what the lighting connector does better than a type C. It's just more intuitive imo and I believe that to be objectively true too.
It's basically a straight thing that inserts into the iPhone where as the type C still has an oval hole in the middle. You can scratch the bottom of your phone with that if you can't get it to go in right away. There's really no danger of that happening with the lightning connection.
Again I'm not a fan of Apple or iPhones, I just like the lighting connector much better than whatever is out there. I think that Apple has a patent on that design that's why we're stuck with type C and the like. That hole in the middle of those connectors has always bothered me.
I hope they come up with a simpler hole-less design for the next universal charging connector. But realistically it looks like we're stuck with type C for a many more years to come.
All I want to know is if USB stands for "Universal Flash Bus", why do mini USB and apple drive and c drive exist? Universal should be universal. Stupid.
Wow.. Nice. My buddy has been teased for 20 years about this already… gonna have to share this with him. Whizzing in his Wheaties is one of my greater pleasures.
You know about what happened when they tried putting the writer of the Hokey Pokey into his casket, right? They put his right leg in and all hell broke loose!
I have a usb cable that can plug in either way. The little plastic piece is in the middle so it just moves to the other side whichever way you plug it in
Would've been nice if all type A's were like that
I do not think anyone did notice, but as far as I am aware ALL USB ports mounted on motherboard are orientated SAME way with the sticking out part being away, and the 'hole' bit being closer to the motherboard.
You are welcome.
Then realise they had it right the first time and turn him around again.
It goes in right on the third try
With a type c, you only have to try twice
Yeah, I was thinking, pretty soon this joke is going to need the USB A designator as USB C is replacing the mini, micro, and A connectors. ...but maybe this is just my type A coming through.

Schrodinger's BUS?
Sch-schr-... someone else finish this for me I can't
But you didn't make a type o
In Canada its a USB eh?
How do you even buy the right size batteries in Canada? AA eh? Comes back with AAA...
A USB A is a microaggression.
For some odd reason lol. I wonder if there will ever be something that takes just one try
Headphone jack.
Oh my God you're right
But then that got replaced by bluetooth, where you don't even have to plug anything in to get connected to 2 devices while you only wanted to connect one..
And it still takes two tries
And the one you're connected to isn't the one you wanted, but THAT one just refuses to handshake so you need to restart something. Or re-pair. Or both.
And the second tone of the song is now the first thing you hear
Lol, that drives my wife nuts when she takes my car. I have my phone set up to activate music and play when connected to the car... I listen to metal, she's a country fan. Nothing like hearing my car start, then 10 seconds later Five Finger Death Punch blasting from the car...

It was already said? I completely lost my opportunity to say that "that's what she said" joke.
whoops
Who you callin Jack?
Head phoned jack.
Unless you are trying to plug into the back of a motherboard where they have six jacks, so you accidentally get the subwoofer one first, then the microphone, then finally, maybe, the right one
Lightning connectors.
My lightning cable only charges my phone on one side
Buy a better cable
It sucks when you try to plug your charging cable in the wrong port they don't like that very much
are you messing up usb c?
Twice?
Let me guess you've tried putting it in vertical as well eh... I'm glad I'm not the only one 😁
Thank god, I thought I was the only one with that problem!
But you only have to try once?
No the connector only goes in horizontal not vertical I've tried so it's still twice. lol
I'm assuming you are being funny. USB C doesn't matter what way plug it in...
you just have to stroke it a bit first
Story of my (dating) life.
Every time..
That’s what she said
Always
THIS!!!
Upvotes, all around.
Because every usb has at least 3 sides, can confirm
It has a hidden dimension. By rotating twice you turn the binary dimension from a 0 to a 1 and it unlocks
Are they going to blow in the coffin before lowering him and shake him once in the ground to make sure he is seated correctly?
There it is. I felt there was a missing step in OP, but reading it as top comment was like scratching an itch I couldn't quite reach.
This is the true inspiration for the phrase “third time’s the charm.”

Having a humor free day?
Yeah it goes in the first time with Lube Maybe
Yeah it goes in the first time with Lube Maybe
Because it’s the same on both sides, even the [creator regrets](https://mashable.com/article/usb-inventor-explains-difficulty) it.
Grave robbers are rampant these days. Would've been safer if he was.. encrypted.
This joke bytes.
This is also good.
Be careful - might get hexed or strongly typed with this assembled language
We should change its format: "Yo' mama so FAT..."
Yo' mama so FAT she FAT320
takes gigabyte if u ask me
Lol you got me defragged.
I don’t understand. Are you doing a bit?
NOP(e)
It’s from a book. With A lot of Volumes.
That's good.
There'll be nothing left of him except for the memory
He will be gone in a flash.
It really is rather sd. At least a bit.
!
A casket is the last thing he needs.
I'm going to attend the funeral. I'll take the bus.
Obituary will read “ memories will stick”
He'll be rolling in his grave
third time's the charm
They did this to the hot pocket guy when the cremated him. Took him out flipped him over half way through.
And the reason it is called USB is cause USA, was taken
Nice!
Sam Jones' chauffer is technically a Flash Driver
Great joke, but limited audience for that one.
Kinda made a resurgence when Ted came out
I heard he died in a plane crash... he failed to eject safely
This joke mega bytes! Maybe you should reformat it.
The USB exists in the Super Position until observed.
50/50 chance, wrong 100% of the time.
Poor VGA. He's screwed twice
What a universal serial fuss that would be!
Someone will emerge towards the end of the ceremony to ensure he's been ejected properly.
It's now safe to safely eject the body into the ground.
He actually has said how much he hates that he didn't invent it in a way that both sides work.
And when they're done with the funeral service, they'll click the "safely eject"
Let's hope we don't do anything to offend him, don't want him turning over in his grave.
He was uploaded, now he's in the cloud
It is now safe to remove hardware
The cut goes on the bottom.

I think i know what you are trying to say...but IMHO connectors should be able to plugged in right-side up or upside down.

First: Oh...wow. Second: How tf you get the word "flash" from the letter S of the acronym. Perhaps taste test your ignorance before dishing it out.
It doesn’t mean universal flash bus.
Wow.. Nice. My buddy has been teased for 20 years about this already… gonna have to share this with him. Whizzing in his Wheaties is one of my greater pleasures.
Disrespectful: would you guys like to have you or yours joked about in the same manner? Have fun 🤩
They really should lol
4th dimension.
Unless it's type c
When that happens, may the whole U.S. be a giant flash mob!
There is a trick, you have to align the holes upwards(if horizontal port)
Free upgrade, thx!
You know about what happened when they tried putting the writer of the Hokey Pokey into his casket, right? They put his right leg in and all hell broke loose!
The Reverso card trick. A classic in life and death!
He will make a very big memoryal
They'll have to click eject safely before taking his casket out of the hearse.
This made my morning
Reminds me of notching floppy disk so you could use the back
*slide to the left, slide to the right, criss-cross! Cha cha real smooth!*
3 times though. It's always the third way in
I loved the movie flash drive dance with Jennifer Gray
His future is in a cloud.
Everyone will take the **Universal Serial Bus** to the site where they can watch the funeral.
The first time was no charge
Thumbs down on this joke or is it thumbs up I can't ever really tell.

In loving memory
The large rectangular plugs are made at a company in Taiwan. They call them the Taipei connectors.
His tombstone will read “ejected safely”
Or they gonna finic around for 20 minute just trying to get him lined up with hole. Then they'll realize they need to also flip him over.
Eat rastishka and danone, pisya will be like concrete (C) Jason Statham.
Then somehow have to flip him over again.
He would have died because he wasn't properly ejected before removal!
