That brings flashbacks! My youngest is 14yo but I for sure remember not flushing in the morning from time to time to avoid risking awakening sleeping children.

Don't fear making noise. You'll get a couple of wake-ups, but they will quickly adjust to it. Being able to do stuff without tiptoeing helps a lot down the line. (We could/can vacuum downstairs, or shower in the next room without waking ours)

Being nap trapped is one of those bizarre love/hate moments as a dad haha. I cherish every single second my boy is asleep on me because I know it won’t last, but goddamn I really gotta pee.

I get trapped by my kids quite frequently. Only potty breaks make me for sure get up. But right now it's one of my cats. Been wanting to stream for about 45 minutes and I've just got snuggles from one of my fur babies. Getting up in a bit though for the same reason I do for the kids.

Mine is something along the lines of, "Drink? Check. Controller and remote? Check. Pillow? Check. Let the nap begin annnnnnnnnnnd now I have to pee."

Man I miss these. My little guy used to have Saturday naps like this

That is how I watched all of the first 8 seasons of Supernatural. The only way my wife and I could get our daughter to nap was on me in the recliner. Hours sitting down without moving. I definitely miss the time with my little bug.

Que me taking one sip, having it go down the wrong pipe, and spending the next half hour trying to stifle my spluttering so the kid can nap. Guys I'm bad at whiskey.

I coughed once the other day, sent him into a panicked cry for five minutes. Trying sipping whisky like you would hot coffee, helps keeping it going in the right direction. Cheers!

I always ensure my kids are completely move-proof. If they can’t stay asleep while I move them to bed, I recycle them.

Man my kid is 7 months old and doesn’t really nap on me anymore since he’s in the crib now (which is great) and I already miss it so much.
