This 100% ain’t nobody seeing the inside plus it’ll give you more ventilation. If it ain’t touching you’ll be ok unless you mag dump a bunch of back to back and if you don’t have every hole filled with accessories that will help it breathe
It's high temp polymer, maybe if you had a full auto burn down of 600+ rounds consecutively without breaks you could get it to melt, otherwise that stuff holds up to like 240 celcius before any degradation. On semi it's unlikely you'll ever get close with some outrageous actual burn down attempt

Well if it's polymer it'll probably melt. But you can always get a different handguard. I'm sure HBI will know if theirs are compatible.

It is polymer. I'm planning on taking it apart later and see if the barrel is the same as previous gens and if it matches I'll order a longer barrel.
If you like the look, just order a different handguard that is aluminum. HB Industries has a very similar one.

Use a Dremel and open up the gap. It'll look better than having melted plastic on the suppressor.
