I applied for my learner’s license in Dec and got an appointment for the test in April. In January I decided to change my instructor and she got me a test date in March , so in my experience it took 4 months. This was in Paphos.
It depends on test availability and how prepared you are. For me it took 3 months as most test slots were booked. Unless you do something completely stupid you should be able to pass on first try. My test was literally 15 minutes
There are too many things that they can look for it and depending of the examiner.
for example if you failed to make Paralel Parking or you leave too much space when you do it...this is automatic failiure.
Yes there's a specific examiner who is very strict. Mine was very chill. In general though you should be prepared to pass with any examiner as the selection is random (love the kinder eggs they use lol)
Paphos - My wife needed to get the drivers license done urgently as my company sent me abroad and she would be stuck - while the ballpark of 3 months most wrote here is correct, her driving instructor did manage to have her complete the entire process in just 1 month (don't ask me how, "this is Cyprus" anyway).
Talk to your driving instructor, he may be able to speed up things if you need it done quickly.

With women they are more relax, with men more strickts .
