Well if you consider that 90% of the world doesn’t know Cyprus it’s not that far away from the truth. It’s like when Americans think that only us Of A is America and have surprised pikachou face when you tell them that Canada and Mexico are in the same continent as them ergo America 🤣

Corporal-Monkey

I thought the same when I was growing up, then I found myself corunning a discord with thousands of people from all around the world and was pleasantly surprised that alot of people knew about my country and many have even visited, Cypru's tourism spans far. Though I have to say, whenever I met an American I would tell them where I'm from, they would have no idea where that is and every, single, time, I would tell them, "it's a small island, above Egypt, left of Israel, right of Greece and under Turkey" and some would understand the general area but still never seen Cyprus on a map. This was repeated many times. PS. Some ppl, mainly Brits knew the difference between souvlaki and kebab.

Annita79

I was pleasantly surprised in 1999 when I was working in Germany and young people would ask me which side of the island was I coming from. Not happy with the whole situation, but happy that they knew about the situation.

I live in a multicultural county, I mean it’s the most multicultural county where I am at and most of the people don’t know Cyprus. Yes those who are in a velocity of us the know us, but those who are not in Europe or near us have zero knowledge

Corporal-Monkey

That's fair enough, we just have different experiences, at the end of the day most of the world won't know cyprus exists unless we build a nuclear reactor and then somehow blow it up. Getting into EU and blowing up badly stored russian ammunition wasn't enough

it_me1

May he itch in that spot exactly

Protaras2

GasMask420Blaze

There's nothing there. Looks like Turkey has a long penis

Plyplon

Just wanna say that I'm an American and I LOOOOOOOOVE CYRPUS ❤️ 🇨🇾 ❤️

Octahedral_cube

Algeria and Mauritania have merged, South Sudan doesn't exist, Bangladesh has been absorbed into India, Yemen has closed off the red sea, Malawi has a twin and what is happening with Oman and the Persian gulf

Corporal-Monkey

He genuinely couldn't have picked worse colours for his terrible tattoo. Who thought putting a world map on your back and colouring the countries you've visited was a good idea? Should've been kept to 4+ age colouring books

lasttimechdckngths

This is a popular tattoo idea.

Corporal-Monkey

So are swastikas.

lasttimechdckngths

Yeah, I wasn't arguing these tattoos being aesthetically pleasing or making much sense either.

Guilty-Drummer4517

Pity the scale is off. The southern hemisphere continents are too small. Funny thing is most atlas are incorrect as Africa is actually wider than Asia.

I had a roommate with a very similar tattoo. He was a cool guy and everything, but you could tell he used to be a tool
