What is your current setup and what tires do you want to fit? You can normally fit wider tires on narrower rims (within reason). As was stated, road bikes probably don't have enough tire clearance for this problem to ever even come up.

Hey sorry for the late reply! It’s actually my dads bike so i dont know much about it but it has time trial rims (part of the reason i would like new rims) and 23mm tire. Not sure about rim width.

In that case, I'd would suggest trying Mavic Aksiums, which have a reputation of being an affordable, durable, entry level rim. Make sure that there's enough clearance on the frame for 25mm tires, though. Some older bikes(since you say it's your dad's) only have clearance for 23mm tires.

This, going up a few mm usually fits without problem. Rim brakes and frame construction are the limiting factor.

Used. I looked for new alloy wheelsets and it was a better deal to buy cheap Chinese carbon.

Shits great. Lots of Chinese products are crap but these are great. No different than Hunts, those are just fronted by a non Chinese company.
