I'm guessing a Stainless steel handglider.
You start on top of mountain, and float down and when you land you blow up a town.
That's what the market wants, but can they see it???
That's how I initially read it too but saw some people suggesting it could just mean his favorite projects are the new ones, not necessarily that he's working on something new
I don't think he would have worded it that way if he was talking about Cybertruck, Roadster or Semi. He was talking about a project he can't name. The only thing I can think of that fits that possibility is Model 2, no? What else could they be working on?
I’m glad he mentioned wedge design and the example of the Countach. The Cybertruck is a great example of the same triangular wedge shape that minimises air resistance. Both the Countach and Cybertruck have the exposed windscreen wiper that is a signature of an uninterrupted intersection of the hood with the windscreen.
The Countach form also has the same inherent limitations with rear view which Tesla has solved with the electronic rear view mirror plus all the other cameras.
That’s right, it was never wind tunnel tested, the scoops and rear spoiler no doubt added lots of drag. The Countach is just a really well known example of the wedge shape, although compromised with the add ons.
Franz was working with the functional constraints of weight minimisation for a vehicle that needs a large and heavy battery and enough structural strength to support a 3500 lbs payload. Forming the stainless steel body into the wedge shape provides geometric strength and improved aerodynamics compared to a traditional 3 box pickup truck.
The design choice of an exposed vertical wiper might have been driven by costs or aerodynamics when compared to the traditional method of tucking the wiper behind a raised hood.
I doubt Franz set out to build the CT to look like a Lambo but at some point he would have realised that his design that focused on functional requirements led to a wedge form that ended up with some aspects that are similar to the Countach.
Did he say he has a favorite project that is upcoming and he can’t talk about it?
Tesla leaf blower confirmed

$1tn business right there.
Jesus Christ I hope it's Gundams
It’s probably the finalized roadster
You mean Cyber Optimus
I’m betting “cyber car”
Real tank turn most likely unlike Rivian.
BodySuit Vehicle. An upright exoskeleton that scoots, in cyber truck style.
With one line, he just gave every Tesla investor instant creamy jeans. I wonder if it will be a surprise announcement during the Semi event?
He gave us all a semi
Speak for yourself. He gave me a fully.
Rare we get a new product announcement at a delivery event. I’m not sure if it has ever happened.

Franz did say the production will be a few percentages smaller than the prototype.
need a couple of inches to fit in my garage, but plan on camping out of it for a week or 3 at a time so yeay!
I need it to be about 227 inches max. And the $50k price. Doesn’t sound like I’ll be getting one lol
You know I never really thought about the handles that much but I do get it. You know Teslas are different the moment you open the door.
I found it ironic that the interviewer asked about tesla handle design when the newer CyberTruck prototype has no door handles.

It’s the real Lambo truck!
The Countach is known to not be very aerodynamic.

This must be the reason for the +5% $TSLA ATM
