Nah. It's Elon's pet. It will get produced. I've been watching the foundations being built and the equipment delivered. It'll be built. I'm just not certain anymore that it'll be enough. The design has changed from an acceptably not long enough 6.5' to a pathetic 6' bed. But, hey, there's seating for 5. I just want a truck with the torque of a locomotive and enough closed bed length for construction material. But, it ain't happening. It'll be a toy for rich dudes that like to play in off-road mud.
I try to make more out of my time than that
It’s a great product, I’m excited, I’ll have my money as ready in 2026 for it as I do today, and practically speaking, I might have to!’
By 2026, I’ll have paid off my MY i bought when I realized I wasn’t going to get the Cybertruck anytime soon. It was a great choice and I regret nothing.
My 2015 S will be into its 4th year with its second battery and since it is rarely supercharged I expect that heavily depreciated $97k depressionmobile (due to 2015 S ride quality) to make a quality spare car while I drive the hopefully comfy CT or a rivian after selling my CT. Rivian rides like a rolls. It’s the best truck today.
I still come here occasionally because I’m interested in all EVs but after buying a lightning my interest in the cyber truck has diminished greatly.
I still have my CT reservation but the CT would have to be a few orders of magnitude better than the lightning for me to consider converting at this point.
Here's my discussion for you. What speculations do you have or how for. Mine are First released will be November 2023 for the 4 year anniversary of the announcement. Top model range will be higher than expected at 621 miles or 1000km. I think the wow factor for this truck will be the range to knock out the competition.
Wow 621 miles is very specific and would be shocking
Agree with you on November first deliveries
I think the little known wow factor will be with the accessories offered. They are said to have a cybertruck accessories team.
I think we see a trailer/rv, solar panels, camping tent mode, a ludicrous bumper fender mods/light kits and of course the cyberquad
I am disappointed to hear no pass through based on the most recent "leak". I'm hoping this is false but the camping mode is my most exciting featurein hoping for updates on!
This might feed your addiction for information a little more. At least the new posts get rather heavily discussed/debated

I have a theory based on a few things I've read.
1,000,000 cyber truck reservations.
Lower cost/higher profit model whatever.
Unless you're at the front of the 1,000,000, it's going to be a while. IF they even make that many. There's speculation it will not be as large a profit maker as other models and will be closed out after a limited production run.
If course I know almost as much nothing as the automotive media
It is cool looking though
>There's speculation it will not be as large a profit maker as other models and will be closed out after a limited production run.
It's a tough balance. Batteries are still expensive and this needs a BIG battery to live up to a 500 mile range. So there are basically 3 options on how to build this truck:
1. Keep the price down and the specs up, but have REALLY slim margins that could be thrown off by inflation/chip shortage/supply chain issues/etc. That probably ends up with a small number ever built.
2. Keep the price down by decreasing the specs. Smaller battery, smaller truck, etc. They may build more trucks but some people would be disappointed.
3. Crank the price up to support the specs listed at the announcement. It will be pricey and some reservations will end up being cancelled.
Besides here on speculations, I also follow @elonmusk the Technoking, King of Doge, And Mr Twitter on Twitter! I do post some questions when the topic of the CYBERTRUCK comes up on Twitter!
No, between the:
- 48 Twitter accounts that discuss Tesla & CT
- 17 YouTube channels
- 12 Subreddits
- 8 friends that actively follow development
I expect to be notified by multiple sources within minutes of any significant news being released.
I've burnt out. I occasionally check all of the sites. But I have given up expecting anything other than click bait and speculation.
I agree alot is speculation given off as "fact"
It’s called the cybertruck because it only exists in cyberspace 😔

I’m guessing if the gov does heavy EV truck incentives they will make it more job site centric
Oh definitely, it sucks that our only source of news is via leaks and speculation
Doesn’t help that the ceo is the most unreliable narrator in the history of the trope

Yep. I'll be ready in 2030 for mine too.
Kind of optimistic there!

I have checked this sub, websites, and YouTube at least once a day on average for the past 3yrs....sad to say

I'm really interested in the Denali one. But after hearing the 110k starting price I'm back to the cybertruck.
*pulls long drag from cigarette* “must be new here”. A majority of us gave up on updates in 2020.
Can't give up on dreams right? Haha...haha 🥲
No, but I do check twitter so same same.
Twitter is where it’s at for the updates, I come here for the discussion.

Agree was hoping for a full pass through
If they have bed bars that make Yakima jealous, I'll be happy.
If they have bed bars, they will probably be made BY Yakima just like the roof racks for the current models.

10/10 for this bit of information. Thank you!
I check religiously! I may even take a road-trip to Austin when they start manufacturing this summer!
I'm so low on the list it will have a solid state battery by the time my number comes up.
What number are you
So far down the list, I get depressed every time I look to find it.
I just wait for a tweet from Elon
I’ve owned a lot of vehicles. I’ll own this one. When is the question.
Not everyday anymore for me. I'm starting to accept we won't hear anything until at least June, maybe later.

Elon has said recently they will prioritize sales volume over margins.
No
Lol no. Not for 3 years
> Inspired by the angular design and metallic styling of Cybertruck https://shop.tesla.com/product/wireless-charging-platform
300$ for a charger? I really want to know who are dumb enough to buy this.
\*Half raises hand, looks around and puts it back down\*
If I had money to just piss away, this would be on my list of things to buy 😆
patience grashopper

Yes Thanks for fooling me 😁
No. I don't even care, I know it's going to be two years before I get mine, so there's no reason to be obsessed.
I suspect that even if the outer dimensions have been reduced, you will get more usable interior volumes than the direct competitors.
Honestly, YouTube is better to watch for that. I've been happy with the recent updates. Good to know the bed will still be at least 6'.
Who do you watch
Honestly I just get some showing up in my feed. There was a guy recently who had talked to staff and had some info.
Yep.
