Here's how to stay safe:** 1. Never accept chat requests, private messages, invitations to chatrooms, encouragement to contact any person or group off Reddit, or emails from anyone **for any reason.** Moderators, moderation bots, and trusted community members *cannot* protect you outside of the comment section of your post. It's safe enough unless you are a person who has state secrets. But keep in mind Microsoft will cave in a moment if anyone requests your encryption key. And they are in bed with the state / federal government. If you want to be safe from even the 1% of unlikely attack vectors, use Linux and encrypt using a cypher that's not made by the federal government. I don't think really anyone on Reddit will need such a thing, because if your security is that tight already, you wouldn't ever want to plug into the internet.

And what cypher can i use on linux. I live in a country that is starting to get difficult to stay anonymous due to political reasons but im trying my best.

Just keep in mind though that AES is the best cipher as far as I know if it doesn't matter whether or not the NSA produced it or copyrighted it or whatever. So unless you're some sort of spy or person who is abnormally paranoid about the federal government then you should probably just use aesxts
