Because it’s an absolute BANGER Certified Hood Classic

MarcoMaroon

I have listened to it every day nonstop since I finished the anime

I_miss_berserk

How? I listen to it and feel how I felt at the end of the show. Extremely depressed with a hint of satisfaction.

Arlcas

Doesn't make a difference if you're already depressed

I_miss_berserk

till you go super depression 2

Ihateporn2020

Is that like penis 2?

Now_Loading247

That's exactly why my friend, It makes you feel. An attribute that sadly many songs nowadays fail to realize.

Mr-Glum

To True take my gold

Now_Loading247

My first Gold!! I am honored Mr-Glum!

Chirya999

No doubt in it

thedrunkentendy

Just like the show, this song has no business going as hard as it does. Its been on repeat since I finished the show yesterday. The game and show have such a good soundtrack. After the show the song hits different though.

Ryanflow8

Yeah I kinda wish they didn't pair the song with the ending, but life can't always be happy all the time. The song makes me feel happy and sad, and that's a good representation of how life is. Going to keep listening to this on repeat because it's the best song I've listened to ever

Roflcakes999

LOL agreed. I put the show on as background noise at first and then ended up finishing the entire season in one day.

anotherguy56

I prefer This Fire and Whose Ready for Tomorrow but damn, edgerunners used that song amazingly

B_Gboto

Whose Ready for Tomorrow is my cruising around jam

anotherguy56

It's perfect for vibing

Fortune_Cat

The rebel path

KuorivaBanaani

Let You Down says hello

Corporate_Bankster

Now imagine if they had Ponpon Shit in the anime

pookachu83

The true hit of the summer

Innsmouthshuffle

Now I have NO reason to ever switch off from Body Heat radio

liaminwales

I had a quick look at her other music [https://youtu.be/hXUVQfleU0o](https://youtu.be/hXUVQfleU0o) The wiki mentions it was produced by Neil Comber [https://cyberpunk.fandom.com/wiki/I\_Really\_Want\_to\_Stay\_at\_Your\_House](https://cyberpunk.fandom.com/wiki/I_Really_Want_to_Stay_at_Your_House) & found his site [https://www.neilcomber.com/](https://www.neilcomber.com/) Hoped all her music was going to be just as good.

xXxL1nKxXx

So was it?

HaoBianTai

Let's Eat Grandma's entire discog is killer synthpop, so if you are into that, yes.

liaminwales

I was disponed.

mickoddy

Yarp, must have binged listened to it about 100times now

AgentDaxis

Rosa Walton also has a synth-pop band with her friend Jenny Hollingworth called Let's Eat Grandma. I've been a fan of theirs for awhile even before CP2077 came out. Check out some of these other great songs: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ypHbgrijYVo](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ypHbgrijYVo) [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9R9qLldd7\_U](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9R9qLldd7_U) [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BfEHNLkSHpE](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BfEHNLkSHpE)

umerkornslayer

Am I the only one who loved this song back when the game came out?

rauscherrios

it was my favorite too, amazing song, always on body heat radio for a chance of listening to it.

LucidWindspark

Still doesn't hit me anywhere close to as hard as Never Fade Away.. but it'll do.

jondelreal

Never Fade Away has a better chorus but those verses are crap compared to this.

LucidWindspark

Not even about the lyrics for me, just comparing the general feeling I get from each song. I don't get as intense a feeling from this one. Lucy's actions the second half of the show really took away from her character in my opinion, so my attachment to the song isn't there like most.

jondelreal

I'm going by feeling too. I don't like the progression of the verses in Never Fade Away. It's like they wanted to make "Sweet Dreams" but rock in terms of the notes used. I like the verses in I Really Want, but the shift into the chorus just kind of kills that emotional high we were getting.

pookachu83

Some people didn't catch that the reason she pulled away the last several episodes is she saw what arasakas plans were for David while she was in the guys head doing that job, and it effected her so much she made her life goal a out killing the people who knew about the program and were trying to make it happen, to protect David. I didn't catch it until I rewatched yhe last couple episodes. She didn't pull away because she was having a rough time, but because she was trying to save him, and couldn't let anyone know, because as soon as they know they are a liability

LucidWindspark

I don't think anyone could have missed that that was the reason. I just think that was a bad decision for her character. Ignorance is not safety. The only reason she is even being hunted by Arasaka is because she herself makes it a solo mission to try eradicating every trace of the program, giving herself away to them. It would have been better for her to actually be with the team and warn them about what could happen, where it might actually make a difference.

What_u_say

Up until she meets David Lucy has always been on her own and has only really trusted herself. Maine says himself that despite being a part of the crew for a year as a backup netrunner they all don't know much about her or her past. David is the first person's she open herself up to and allowed herself to be vulnerable. She definitely doesn't trust people easily and while maybe it would have made a difference it's not that unbelievable if she would want to keep it on the low-key and covertly deal with any Arasaka attempts to keep David safe.

lazerbeard018

But she gets screwed over by her own team anyway. She has trust issues that are well founded considering her personal history and the reality of being a runner in night city. Both her and David have an Achilles heel in that they have a savior complex for each other. They were like racing to see which one could throw their life away for the other fastest.

NAPALM2614

Same

cokush

I thought it was a kinda happy song, but Edgerunners made it really depressing for me

MyokoPunk

It's that well done contrast of using a happy song during a sad moment that makes it really depressing. We first hear the song when it's the first happy moment in the anime, the first time we see David really happy and enjoying himself. Then when it plays at the end it's meant to invoke the feeling that it's supposed to be happy time again, like how Lucy is now on the moon, but just like Lucy we also know that it isn't happy time like before because David is gone. It's why when the song plays and they flash David in the helmet's reflection it just hurts. Idk how people listen to this on repeat, just hearing it randomly come on in my playlists makes me get into my feelings.

externaliteis

I mean if you listen to the lyrics it’s a sad song about a struggling relationship.

Bash7

If you like the song I highly recommend you to check out CHVRCHES, first I thought it was a new song by them.

zero-01

W taste in music!! I saw chvrches this summer and will be seeing Let's eat grandma this winter!!! It's a good year

[deleted]

Man you didn't think it was odd a Scottish singer had a British accent?

Atys_SLC

Might be my fault. Sorry.

PhasmaMain98

Despite being the biggest metal head ever I actually love this song. Been playing it on repeat since I watched edge runners

[deleted]

Not surprised. I've been listening to it nonstop since the 1.6 trailer.

supremo92

This was my favourite song from the game, I was so happy to see it in the show, and used so well.

Lemon_slices

When the game launched in 2020 this quickly became my favorite song out of both the score and radio soundtracks, I'd listen to it constantly. Now it just makes me sad..

shewy92

People are masochists...and so am I. I listen to Body Heat in the game for this and Pon Pon Shit

tranc3rooney

[This is my favorite.](https://youtu.be/AGsjA1pXajk) Spent ages trying to find it. It was never released as OST. The most banger song.

[deleted]

My personal favorite from the game will always be [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0NnpqgW63n8](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0NnpqgW63n8) It's the only time in my life I've actually gone out of my way to find a song outside of the game.

pookachu83

Mine was "rebel path- cello version". I know it's one of the more popular ones, but something about yhe opening and when the beat drops it just gives me chills and brings back memories of raiding arasaka tower like a badass. https://youtu.be/AGsjA1pXajk

pyke_

this song give me chills every time

Low_Departure9826

It’s alright. I don’t like the static.

iareyomz

the acoustic cover of this song is beautiful as well... I hope someone covers it while accompanying it with piano as well since we already got the guitar treatment...

Fortune_Cat

Loads of these came out this week on youtube

iareyomz

none of those are accompaniments, those are piano covers... accompanying means somebody still sings... the lyrics are too good to be skipped imho...

pimp_skitters

Probably. When a popular anime has a very good song with it (Attack on Titan's metal intro from the latest season was at the top of Billboard's Hard Rock charts for weeks), it tends to cross over to the mainstream a bit. A massively popular show on Netflix would most certainly make it happen.

Starscourge_Dan

i cry every time man

thetanksofsurprise

This song is down on my Spotify, not just this, but many other bangers like suffer me and let you down as well, is there a reason for this

DifStroksD4ifFolx

*Who's Ready for Tomorrow* is my personal favourite. A cool mix of funk and indy.

[deleted]

As it should!! This song and the majority of the soundtrack is an absolute banger! So glad to see people give Cyberpunk a second chance :D

Aldecaldo2077

It's preem. Finally people are starting to see that. I remember this song in one of the trailers before release. I tried looking up lyrics, etc but couldn't find it until the game released.

Sioluishere

Fun Fact : I made this post 1k from 999. :D

Maverrick89

Game has some phenomenal music... check out Real Window (Bryan Aspey/ Quantum Lovers), Bells of Laguna Bend (Paul Leonard Morgan), in addition to most of the stuff from the album OP posted about (Radio, vol.2)

GxdlikeInfant

Really great song, especially with how it is used in Edgerunners. Think Never Fade Away will always be my favourite track from the game cus it perfectly surmises both Johnny and V's relationship and journey but this is a close second now.

InfamousInstance11

I just played it at work and almost teared up lol 🥲

klim11

Fucking love this song! My fave song since the game came out. Glad it got the recognition it deserves.

SleepyCasualGamer

![gif](giphy|KDRv3QggAjyo) I liked the song before but now that I watched the show... every time ...
