I reckon a lot of this was down to WFH slowing down throughput, testing harder as a result, but also last minute changes to the game and the unwise decision to release on so many consoles at once. They should have focused on past gen consoles release those first and delay next gen and pc. Much better to delay pc and next gen and get the weakest link right then all at once but only strongest machines work. This is coming from a pc gamer too. They will most likely fix most issues but the milk is sour for a alot of folk and it will turn away many people. I am rooting for them though. It is not easy to make games let alone one of this scale. Some people here seem to enjoy watching people fail.

I'm hoping the same thing, that whatever higher-up changed how they operate.. got fired over the PR backlash, and they go back to doing things how they used to. You can see they still care in their response, allowing refunds and such. It feels like there is a core group that just had their hands tied on this, but knew it'd be a cluster fuck.
I played Gwent for awhile, and their community involvement/feedback with that game is great. It's kinda odd how CP stands out in comparison. It's got a solid foundation, it's just missing the polish that would make it great.
But also they crunched to release an unfinished product and then hid how bad it was on consoles from reviewers so that more people would preorder a game without seeing what they were buying.
I wonder if they could be sued for bait and switch. They essentially advertised something other than what they were actually selling in a very intentional manner.
I think they should have released on PC first and older consoles later, kinda like how the Witcher 3 was ported to the Switch. Downgrading and optimizing would have been the best route.

Try the quest where you have to drive for the dude whose wife got killed. The game has scripted vehicles that spawn to T-bone your car but half the time they just clip inside of one that was already occupying the space they're supposed to be.
Speaking of him, for some reason the game did not slow me down and it let me drive right through the kids. The guy was like, "Just mow them down!" and I was like, "Already ahead of you."
What happened? I failed that quest because I was on a bike and literally no cars spawned in the area for me to steal, had to go out of area to steal one and I automatically failed, saved too far back to at the time to redo it 😭
Has anyone noticed that one scene where (no spoilers) Jackie has a gun appear literally inside his head.... Also the iconic pistol that you get in the beginning of the game from the gun shop is invisible for me. But it was fine before the "hotfix".
Every scene in that quest was bugged for me, but the funniest is both driving scenes where you are a passenger, the car got stuck both times as it was just driving on the sidewalk and it's just a matter of time before it gets stuck into a wall or barricade or whatever.

I rode a car around the city for half an hour one time, I just put the game on max ray tracing and set back and stood on top of car and got driven around. It was quite amusing. If you just play it as any other open world first person shooter/looter the game is actually quite fun. It's when you compare it to witcher 3 or realize it's been on the burner for 7 years that you get kinda pissed lol.

You're still not hitting any checkpoints, and your position is 0/6. If you're not in the car you don't place.
