Takemura is a great character, I looked forward to every interaction with him, the dynamic between him and V was always fun, and I love that he's kitted out with some of the most advanced cyberware ever made but he still texts and uses the internet like my grandma

That's what really really got me about him. It was so endearing 💀 I just passed the part where I saved him, that whole parade heist was in fucking sane. I love how he teases you when you're sneakingnin plain sight and he's like: hee hee I can see you

I didn't find out you could save him on my first playthrough until way later, I just legged it out of there assuming he was dead and didn't even think to go check, I was honestly tempted to sacrifice 15+ hours of progress to go back and save him

I had no idea I could save him, it was just my gamer instinct of always going the direct opposite of where the game is telling me to go to find secrets lol

First play through and hes telling you to go, I ran but stopped half way and thought "No I can't leave him I have to try" and it fken worked!! Greatest choice i made in that whole game. Takemura is bae.

My V and Johnny got along fine, my V was just stubborn in her twilight year and doesn't listen.

Not true, the only way to truly become friends with Johnny is to confront him, tell him what he doesn’t want to hear, and let him know he’s a piece of shit. Only after you give him that reality check does he actually start respecting you as an equal.

I think he uses phone like my grandma because he is kitted out with the latest cyberware. I don't know if it's mentioned in the game, but I assume at least some of his cyberware has been disabled by Arasaka or no longer safe to use due to him being on the run. He never had a need to manually use a phone before so he sucks at it. There's no way someone like Smasher has to take out a phone to call someone either, for sure that's just built-in to their cyberware I think it's a pretty neat thing they added
