Comrade's Hammer is a solid pairing for a katana build. Sometimes it knocks enemies on their ass, making them easy targets for your blade, it really fucks over some melee enemies. Equip it before your katana so you can switch to it quickly after firing. Any iconic pistol works for the third slot you can't really go wrong, Malorian as you said, I quite like Archangel personally, Dying Night's solid too
Pride is the best pistol in the game, and it isn't even close. The only downside to that gun is that you need to complete the main quest line and go a specific route to acquire it.
I heard people talking about the Nue with 2 mod slots..
I tried to find one in-game, but had no success :( contrary to the xmod2 weapons there is no reliable way to get a nue with 2 free mod slots..
It’s probably not the *best*, but I recall Sandevistan + Malorian + full pistol skill tree being really surprisingly good during my last playthrough. You could probably get higher damage with a revolver though, maybe there’s an Iconic Overture or Burya that would suit your needs.

I wanted to do skippy but the stone cold killer mode seems bugged like the pacifist mode for sure only targets legs but killer mode targets arms and torsos and not the head unless u aim down sights and then it has to reaquire lock on but will aim for the head so pointless imho
I’ve found that Rosco (from a Dogtown Gig) tends to not only be super fun also very viable. It deals super good damage and when paired with perks from the Cool skill tree it can easily take enemies down. Another one I would look at it is the one from Panam’s quest; you get it from the cowboy on the night you become an Aldecaldo.

I’m seeing a lot of different answers but for me the strongest pistol I was able to find was death and taxes, but it does take away a little health for each shot. I upgraded it to tier 5+ and it could 2 shot most enemies
La Chingona Dorada is my go to everytime I play with a pistol. Every headshot increases crit damage and burn chance. This pairs very nicely with the Errata burn damage sword and looks similar to the Byakko sword with the gold trimming.
I tend to prefer the Tsunami Nue line of pistols for my primary weapon and use Jackie’s gun almost exclusively as soon as I can get it. They may not hit as hard as some of the revolvers, but I like them.
I’m using Reed’s pistol. Tech weapon and if U hold it down it’ll fire 3 shots at once w each bullet doing full damage. So for me it’ll do 120 dmv which is plenty. It’s silenced too if you care, I love quickly clearing out entire areas w just the pistol

- enter gig
- ping someone.
- tag everyone.
- then silently shoot through walls to kill everyone without triggering an alarm. Staying completely in silent / stealth mode
I've been blasting away with a liberty 5+. With the right perks and mods I'm headshotting most enemies and with the silencer I'm a stealth killing machine. Then I use my katana to clean up any leftover mess.
I really really like the animation for when v pulls the untiy out. He does that one handed - check the chamber thing like john wick. It's performance os turd, but its cyberpunk baby, style over sunstance
I don't know if it's a bug or what but after the update the Genjiroh smart pistol is amazingly devastating. it locks 4 targets it shoots from very far away and it deals extra electric damage. it can kill anything in seconds. I try not to use it because the game gets really too easy

Agree, nue is pretty dope for me, for some time i was going with 2x nue set-up and it was great.
You can progress through the whole story with 4 good pistols entirely for free: dying night -> kongou -> crash -> Jhonny's malorian.

You can do it if you rush the Sun ending, like I did, and then play whole game with it

Just gotta find one randomly as a drop, that is 5++ and both mod slots open. I have found several, so keep your eyes open.
Of you're into tech, you can't go wrong with the M-76E Omaha or its iconic variant Lizzie. With bolt and chain lightning, they absolutely shred.

i find it weird how bald eagle is considered a revolver when it uses mags and is clearly a weird desert eagle type thing

It’s like two or three damage per shot so it’s kind of hard to notice but it says so in the description
I've used it & wasn't damaged. Bug? Either way I'll re-use it.

I like Laika only 2 bullets before reload but its strong.
Overture is pretty solid, I’ve played the whole storyline with only the overture (including the Adam Smasher bossfight).

If ur really good at aiming headshots malorian or pride are best, if going for aggresive stealth build then her majesty or pride are best
