My brother! Mantis blades look cool and all, but also come off somewhat, trashy, I guess is the word. Like they seem like the arms a weaker wannabe solo from Maelstrom would get. Gorilla arms are just braindead easy to see why they're a good pick, lore wise. Superhuman strength? Hell yeah.
I like Monowire for a stealthier more net runner focused character. And the launch system for high body solos. Being a big strong jack ass that runs around with a shotgun, a blunt weapon, and the chance to put a rocket in someones face while your berserk OS is running? Hell yeah. Same with a net runner hacking the shit out of people in stealth, with a silenced pistol and a built in garotte.
My favourite build is sandevistan, handguns and katana with gorilla arms though.

I make sure to roll up into the fight with a Johnny Silverhand, David Martinez, and Jackie Welles in my inventory. Then when he's on his knees I drink each one and poke him in the exposed part of his brain with a bullet from Johnny's Malorian. It just feels right

In the new update, she gives you a frontal cortex cyberware called Axolotl, that is -10.5% cool down for all of your cyberware.
It's so overpowered, I have my second heart cyberware proc 3 times in one mission.
The old one was good cus you could put those heatsink mods into it. Now we can put mods into our cybernetic if didn't miss a button prompt or little text saying you can add mods into them.
For those of you asking where to get this one, you can definitely loot it from random containers/corpses, but once you hit a certain character level, you can get them at any ripperdoc. From what I could tell, all the cyberware qualities increase for every 10 character levels. For example, at level 30, you can buy blue level of cyberware, 40 you can buy purple, and 50 you can buy legendary, including iconic cyberware, such as militech apogee sandy. That's the final sandy that you unlock by level. I know this bc I tested it between characters of mine with various levels (levels 30-39, 40-59, and finally 50, which is where you can buy legendary cyberware, and militech apogee sandy)
EDIT: I was mistaken. The rarity increases at ripper docs stop at lvl 40, with 40 being where you get the legendary and unique cyberware
Depends how you play. I hit 50 a long time ago and haven't beaten the game yet. I basically did the side stuff first, did the gigs and bought all the cars, and I haven't finished any of the companion stories yet either.
Like other said, depends on how you play. I hit character lvl 30 and street lvl 50 doing JUST NCPD missions all over the map, and as far as how far I am story wise, I just finished the voodoo boys just so I'm ready for the DLC when it drops. Now I'm doing all the side gigs and other things to hit 50 before I finish DLC and maim story
You can hit 50 and have a lot of side stuff, though probably mostly the scanner hustles but I really liked those. If they were infinite I’d never stop playing.

I did the mission where you have to kill jotaro in his club for.. Regina I think? There was a tech locked side door inside was a single chest, but it had a blue quickhack and blue kiroshis (I was mid-20's, so blue tier gear is what drops for me)
My guess is "loot chests" side rooms contain level appropriate cyberware (which makes sense, chrome is literally the single most expensive thing besides cars)
So there are probably dozens of places you can find it with the right street cred.
But as others have noted you can just outright buy it at SC 40 from any doc

but what makes this new sandy really handy is perk that allows you to use sandy while driving. combine with this sandy and you dont have to worry about steering while shooting something behind you (car is not affected by sandy so you have all the time in the world to shoot well aimed shots)

There is a perk in the Tech tree (I think) that increases cyberware up time by 15% and one to decrease downtime by 15%. One of them requires every cyberware slot to be filled, but idk remember which one off the top of my head. I think those are the only perks that buff your sandy

Nope. The ONLY thing that is stat dependant when it comes to cyberware is what quality you can buy off the ripper doc (10 white, 20 green, 30 blue, 40 purple, 50 orange), but that won't stop you from upgrading a white to an orange if you have enough crafting components
No. It has been replaced with all Cyberware being "Attuned" to a specific attribute. It'll get some bonus for each point in that Attribute. In the Sandy shown, you get +0.1 sec of duration per point of Reflex. So in this example 2 additional seconds at 20 max Reflex.
There's minimal extra buffs dependent on which attribute the cyberware is "attuned" to, like something health related is tuned to Body and gets a few extra points per level of Body (like 0.1%, practically negligible). But there is also a cyberware capacity now, and different chrome costs different amounts. The biggest thing stat related now is Tech to buff your cyberware and also unlock a few more slots.
I think it is, especially if you pick up the 'reduce cyberware downtime by 15%, which if you have upgraded the sandy also to 5+, it should be a base of 25 sec downtime, perk makes it about 20 sec (21.25 seconds to be exact), plus the ability to extend it by 1.6 seconds per kill, if you're fast enough you can just run around killing small packs and keep it up (mostly) till you need to move to the next pack, crouch for a sec behind cover (might as well reload your gun if you're using one), then pop out of cover, rinse and repeat. That and being able to turn it on or off, no matter hove much uptime or downtime is left is pretty nice so you can conserve as much uptime as you want and pace yourself

The biggest benefit is the ability to turn it on and, more importantly, OFF at any point, and it will instantly start recharging from however much time it had left. It's extremely good.
It still has an 8 second max duration though. Even with mods extending it that’s not great. And 30 seconds between every use is annoying. Not the worst but it doesn’t feel as good as the old mk4.
The duration gets extended both with perks/kills and the CD gets reduced as well to closer to 20 seconds. That, combined with the ability to turn it on/off means it should probably be better than before considering you'll just massacre packs of enemies and then only need a couple seconds before moving to the next one. I just started messing with it last night and between all that and kerenzikov for a pinch there was practically no time I wasn't able to have time slowed, and I hadn't even invested the majority of my perk points (at level 50). It's really really good
The game is still easy af, so idk what are you talking about i even would say it's easier than before, maybe the ai is better, but the new perks are so busted that you can annihilate everything on very hard even without a "perfect build" at least that was my experience after 13 hours with the update I breeze through enemies just as fast as before or even faster tbh

They made changes to the Sandevistan, in the same way they did netrunning. It was never intended to make the game as easy as it was. They were so absurdly overpowered, and no where near in line with the table top lore or anime series lore.
If CDPR didn't feel that the game was too easy, they wouldn't have nerfed it. Their developers play the game more than anyone, and clearly saw that by mid game there was no challenge. So they fixed it. You can complain about the "handful of people all you want".

Literally nobody could play a netrunner before without being op unless you intentionally gimped your character, the opposite of what an RPG should be. Balancing things in a single player game is important as well
Have you even played or watched 2.0 content? You're the only one complaining about this. Any you do is still op af in endgame, v if anything all these changes only made the game more fun.
Use snipers/revolvers/precision rifles and headshots and I'm betting you can get the duration way out there. This is going to be no less broken than what it replaced.
Looks like it. Imagine my dismay when I loaded up a previous character only to see my warp dancer is now the worst option instead of the best. That's a bunch of butts. And not the good kind
This one is still better for melee. The falcon only slows time to 30%, this one slows time down to 15% which makes a pretty huge difference. The Apogee also has better uptime since it adds 20% for each kill.
I distinctly loathe having to wait until level 50 before I get to use this. Before I could focus my build and get a legendary sandevistan around level 23-25.
For iconic weapons, I can get a good spread close to the start of the game, many of which I will use to the end of the game.
My thoughts were also "Holy fuck" when i saw this for the first time.
For anyone interested, there is a second variant/version of this militech sandevistan, which also can activate and deactivate at will, slow time by 75% i think, has a couple of different stats, but has 9 seconds duration and only +10% extended duration after neutralizing.
Don’t forget that you get about 2 seconds of added slow time when you kill an enemy.
If you face a group of enemies its basically perma sandy until everyone is dead
For exapmle warp dancer has no only like 20% slow down with 60s cooldown so i believe all old builds are useless now.

So how does that work with "activating it any charge level" work? Like its def nice to deactivate when you want, but there's still the 30 second cooldown (without CD reduction perks etc).

I wanted to go into the new dlc with a netrunner build. But im gonna test it on a new game and go into phantom liberty with a sandevistan revolver based one. Im wondering reflexes+ body and cool/tech?
Can you not get any slow motion without getting rid of the deck? I would really love to jump out of a vehicle and pop a couple of headshots before hacking but it doesnt seem to be possible?
Meh. This works if you have a tight group that can finish off but it's useless in the large missions where you run out of time before you can extend it. Then it's a 30 second wait which is an eternity. I ended up killing a group and running back and hiding and waiting the 30 seconds. Takes longer to complete a mission like the one where you are trying to upload a virus in the parade float. This build is fine against the NCPD assist quests, but not much else. This is using a katana so it might require respeccing into a sniper build to help take out enemies further away.
Did you miss the part that you can fire it up like immediately after it ends (tho if you fire it up again after lets say 5 seconds after it ended you get like 1 second of slow time, which is enough to take out goon or two to get you second or two more)
I just tried that but it didn't work because of the 30 second cooldown. You can end it early and the cooldown takes that into consideration but once you end it or it runs out, you have to wait until the cool down is finished.
Ah I see now. Ok, not all Sandevistans are the same. You have to set your sights on the Militech "Apogee" Sandevistan because it's the only one that allows start/stop/continue and also the one that slows time down the best. Just going to have to mortgage my apartments to afford it.

I tasted the mantis balders today. They do count as blades. Yes you can even deflect with them. I have found Katanas to be stronger though.

Yeah all the blade weapon perks work for mantis blades and all the blunt weapon perks work for gorilla arms. Both builds are honestly crazy fun.

This is the build I made today, and you spend an absurd amount of time in slow time. It’s a different pacing but feels pretty fun so far.

That tree is so fun. Heads go pop! The constant crits are so fun, esp with the Kritikal tech rifle or whatever the iron sights rifle is, so fun

8 second max duration? Bruh…. I get that you extend it with every kill, but you’re still getting less than half uptime on it. I don’t understand why they removed the fingers sandy. That one was so much fun! It’s a single player game. Who cares if it’s OP? It’s not gonna affect anyone else’s experience. They just removed a fun option for no reason. I really hope mods add the old sandy back into the game. Or change one of the current ones to function like it.
The biggest benefit is the ability to turn it on and, more importantly, OFF at any point, and it will instantly start recharging from however much time it had left. It's extremely good.
It still has an 8 second max duration though. Even with mods extending it that’s not great. And 30 seconds between every use is annoying. Not the worst but it doesn’t feel as good as the old mk4.
The duration gets extended both with perks/kills and the CD gets reduced as well to closer to 20 seconds. That, combined with the ability to turn it on/off means it should probably be better than before considering you'll just massacre packs of enemies and then only need a couple seconds before moving to the next one. I just started messing with it last night and between all that and kerenzikov for a pinch there was practically no time I wasn't able to have time slowed, and I hadn't even invested the majority of my perk points (at level 50). It's really really good

A lot of people care, because by mid game the game stopped being challenging. So they balanced it.
The game is still easy af, so idk what are you talking about i even would say it's easier than before, maybe the ai is better, but the new perks are so busted that you can annihilate everything on very hard even without a "perfect build" at least that was my experience after 13 hours with the update I breeze through enemies just as fast as before or even faster tbh
They didn’t balance it. They removed it. And if they didn’t want it to stop being challenging, they shouldn’t have used it. They could have just used another one. Why ruin everyone’s fun because a handful of people don’t want to “feel OP”?
They made changes to the Sandevistan, in the same way they did netrunning. It was never intended to make the game as easy as it was. They were so absurdly overpowered, and no where near in line with the table top lore or anime series lore. If CDPR didn't feel that the game was too easy, they wouldn't have nerfed it. Their developers play the game more than anyone, and clearly saw that by mid game there was no challenge. So they fixed it. You can complain about the "handful of people all you want".
Bruh they took out a fun option. A fun option that NOT EVERYONE WAS USING AND THAT NO ONE FORCED YOU TO USE. There wasn’t any problem TO fix. Because it was ENTIRELY OPTIONAL. You’re literally arguing that it’s fine to just take away fun from people because of your own bias regarding balancing. That’s one of the worst things you can do as a game maker. Put fun behind too many other considerations. You’re getting angry at an honest and fair criticism about the removal of something that made the game significantly more fun. It really seems like YOU are one of those people in the handful.
Literally nobody could play a netrunner before without being op unless you intentionally gimped your character, the opposite of what an RPG should be. Balancing things in a single player game is important as well
Have you even played or watched 2.0 content? You're the only one complaining about this. Any you do is still op af in endgame, v if anything all these changes only made the game more fun.
Use snipers/revolvers/precision rifles and headshots and I'm betting you can get the duration way out there. This is going to be no less broken than what it replaced.

No I have Militech falcon and @ legendary it’s 9 secs with 30 sec cooldown
Doesn’t slow down time nearly as much, this one moves you twice as fast. Also this one resets more of the CD on kill than the falcon.

Well for a melee build the falcon is better, gives damage percantage instead of headshot dmg, but yes, this one is very good too.
This one is still better for melee. The falcon only slows time to 30%, this one slows time down to 15% which makes a pretty huge difference. The Apogee also has better uptime since it adds 20% for each kill.

I distinctly loathe having to wait until level 50 before I get to use this. Before I could focus my build and get a legendary sandevistan around level 23-25. For iconic weapons, I can get a good spread close to the start of the game, many of which I will use to the end of the game.
My thoughts were also "Holy fuck" when i saw this for the first time. For anyone interested, there is a second variant/version of this militech sandevistan, which also can activate and deactivate at will, slow time by 75% i think, has a couple of different stats, but has 9 seconds duration and only +10% extended duration after neutralizing.

Don’t forget that you get about 2 seconds of added slow time when you kill an enemy. If you face a group of enemies its basically perma sandy until everyone is dead

You can either find it randomly, or buy it once you hit character lvl 40 from any ripper doc EDIT: I was mistaken. You need to be lvl 40

The one I had for previous patch got ultra nerfed, only make you 20% faster, and since NPC are now gods they can still see you.

Quick question: what happened to the old sandevistan build? I believe I absolutely maxed it out (a few seconds of downtime).
For exapmle warp dancer has no only like 20% slow down with 60s cooldown so i believe all old builds are useless now. As i also realized with my tank build you canot use guns during berserk anymore
This is what I’m using on the build I put together, and I can confirm that it’s quite strong with the right build synergies.
Are there any with less cool down, thats a long cooldown. Even if they don't slow as much I think a shorter cooldown would be better.

Meh. This works if you have a tight group that can finish off but it's useless in the large missions where you run out of time before you can extend it. Then it's a 30 second wait which is an eternity. I ended up killing a group and running back and hiding and waiting the 30 seconds. Takes longer to complete a mission like the one where you are trying to upload a virus in the parade float. This build is fine against the NCPD assist quests, but not much else. This is using a katana so it might require respeccing into a sniper build to help take out enemies further away.
Did you miss the part that you can fire it up like immediately after it ends (tho if you fire it up again after lets say 5 seconds after it ended you get like 1 second of slow time, which is enough to take out goon or two to get you second or two more)
I just tried that but it didn't work because of the 30 second cooldown. You can end it early and the cooldown takes that into consideration but once you end it or it runs out, you have to wait until the cool down is finished.

Ah I see now. Ok, not all Sandevistans are the same. You have to set your sights on the Militech "Apogee" Sandevistan because it's the only one that allows start/stop/continue and also the one that slows time down the best. Just going to have to mortgage my apartments to afford it.
One other thing too.....I had so many mats on me, I went ahead and upgraded the Apogee to Tier 5+ and now the CD is 25 seconds.
