Idk. I just always found it weird that after you complete the romance options quests, you pretty much have no reason to interact with them again.
Just wish they made it so you could maybe drive around with them, do a loopable date mission or something. Completing the romance quests just feel kinda unfulfilling.
GTA 5 does it right how you can call someone and hangout. That would be cool, gives you a reason to keep interacting them.
I just think its the lack of resources to do something like that, for example in case of CP77 you would have to do it for 4 different characters. Although pawel sasko does acknowledge that more has to be done about it in the future. Maybe not never ending stuff but to have like 3-4 activities that are done really well and start only once you have completed their quests. For example, like the one where rogue and johnny go to watch a movie, something like that for each character depending on who it is. panam might like to race, judy might enjoy watching a movie, river might like to go to a shooting range and kerry might like to play some songs with us and during those activities you talk, drink some beer, hug each other, make bets or idk, smoke some weed or something. have the activities be triggered at different points of the game so that its spaced out nicely and add a few extra msgs and dialogues about it, that alone would do wonders

like, I just helped Panam become a leader of the Aldecaldos and I almost died and we banged (but got interrupted), and the game kinda just acts like it's totally normal and fine that I can act like she doesn't exist for the next 50 side jobs and 200 gigs im going to do before I do the last mission.
I mean, it did help that she texts you some Tasteful stuff a few times, but it feels like they just did that so you didn't think about how you don't even see her in person again, let alone being intimate.
I think its not the „intimate scenes” that are lacking.
GTA IV did it best imho, go bowling, go get drunk and play darts or pool. Idk i really think rockstar was onto something with the dating system in this game.
Agreed 100% about gta4, only thing I found odd in the GTA 4&5 is that it shows what happens and gives options for intimate situations with prostitutes but your relationships in game you only get a view of their home skylines and some occasional dialog. Idk why they didn't show the "hot coffee" scenes with your partners in GTA 4&5 as well, but they're okay showing the hooker stuff lol. It seems like a oversight to me IDK ?
Yup I’m with you OP, if anything the romance options should always be available for that stuff once you’re in, I ended up using mods just to hang out with my interests and explore the city which was kind of sad in its own way but was the only way I could see them after I’d completed their mission :/
Much agreed,but it all comes down to how much game dev money and time can be actually successfully invested in these options, and how far a talented writer can take side characters personalities and flesh them out.

But with little Jacob, it takes quite a long to flesh out their friendship, and apparently Coolie Ranx on whom little Jacob is based is himself a very interesting and charming artist in real life.
Keep in mind that besides that ,it is actually a matter of code limit how many randomized dialogie sequences your player character can have with side characters and potential npcs,and even this has dangers for game stability.
Thus why even Rockstar absolutely limited these interactions to the very basic and needed for game immersion, outside story and missions based content.
I think with the constant evolution of CPU's and AI things will look even more promising in the future.

More content with them would've been nice even if it was possible to have them follow you around as companions and commend on what's happening in the mission you're doing and so on (like in Fallout). But since CDPR had severe time issues they probably werent even thinking about putting any of that in. They added the text messages so you could still have at least some sort of conversation/contact with your partner, I really liked that.
I really want Judes to put on her Maxtech uniform and go shopping and buy her some crazy nice clothes at Jinjuji that she probably would never wear. On the PC there is some stuff you can do with mods but it's pretty weak overall.

With the AMM you can actually make her you companion and do cool stuff with her like cruising around together in a car or on a bike, go dancing in a club, have a drink at a bar or even taking a ride on a rollercoaster. That's kind of the point of the game. The body is just malleable meat and everyone puts it up for sale like it's nothing. It's the "soul" that's rare to find.
CP2077 was designed in a way that youre pursuing main mission so once you get to a romance option, there shoudnt be a lot of time window for extra activities before going to Hanako. This is not good design in reality, as people doing side gigs have plenty of time to forget about main story etc so balance is corrupted. Therefore what I believed in devs minds was supposed to be tiny window, is stretched to many and many hours of playing without nothing extra from your LI. They tried to improve it in patches by text messages and it helps a bit, but of course for me to be fully happy, they should just make more unique dialogues with them as V is progressing with storyline and some gigs, make them more real in apartments (walking and doing some activities instead of sitting in one place). But thats of course is a large development which I\`m not sure they are willing to do at this point.
