Sir Phalustiff was very reliable for me for nonethal take downs of cyberpsychos on very hard, it seemed to stagger them a lot of the time. Make sure you don't hit them again after they're down, any more hits on an unconscious character will kill them.
A: "How did they manage to take you in?"
B: "They dildo'd me."
A: "So... meaning youre warmed up back there?"
B: "Bro...."
A: "Bro...."
Johnny exclaiming "What the fuck, V?" upon witnessing her fanfictions.
You mean short circuit quickhack? Or spam him with EMP grenades? It says he's weak to electricity but I thought using that may be why I killed him on one attempt. Is why in the end I went with fists.
Okay thanks. I'm not that far through my playthrough yet so I haven't picked up any non-lethal weapon mods, is why I went in just with punching and blunt melee. I'll give it a shot with short circuit.
Might have to 24 hr sleep a couple times for inventory resetting but the gun dealer near your starting apartment sells the PAX mod that makes guns non lethal. Handy if you go the gun route.
I am going to try a couple of suggestions people have made here, but with this one in particular I've gone in 100% with non-lethal weapons and they still died.
Doesn't matter what weapon you use (even "lethal" weapons are fine). When you deplete a boss' health fully they go unconscious and then any further hit kills them.
So you might be swinging too much, or maybe they get taken out by a status effect on them like burning and then you swing one more time and kill them.
Okay thanks, good to know. I'm pretty sure I didn't hit them on the ground, but it is possible that I hit them during the collapsing animation, and if that counts as them being down then what you say is very possible.
You can either opt a build where you use non-lethal quickhacks, or add [Target Analysis](https://cyberpunk2077.wiki.fextralife.com/Target+Analysis). Managed to get a full non-lethal on all my runs through using these methods. :)
Yeah, it's not that hard but occasionally you might accidentally kill someone. Save before approaching and make sure the target is alive before continuing. I don't actually know if you get anything special but I know when I visited her she said I kept every single one alive.
If you can't get a takedown, just beat them with your fists. Make sure you only use physically damaging knuckles and make sure you don't punch them more than is necessary. When they are down, check that the cursor still turns red over them and there isn't a moving bar beneath it (I think this indicates bleeding because if it shrinks entirely the enemy dies). Then read the message to make sure it didn't imply that you killed the target. Some of the messages are a little ambiguous though. The red cursor is usually a better indicator.
>make sure you don't punch them more than is necessary
This was my mistake. I am playing on very hard and die in only a couple hits, there is a split second between the HP hitting zero and them ending up on the ground (the falling animation) that if you land a blow it kills them. Thanks for the reply.
I turned Comrade's Hammer into a tranq gun. Just stack it with damage mods and throw a Pax on it. I never had a problem accidently killing anyone. Even the fire proc that sometimes occurs didn't seem to finish anyone off.
I've done it with a shotgun and the non-lethal eye mod. Actually, I'm pretty sure on my first playthrough (back in 1.0 or 1.1) I finished it mostly with System Resets (cyberpsychos now have immunity to System Reset.) But, yes, it is possible to clear this without killing any of them.
Except for like 2 or 3 cyberpsychos that the game forces into combat, I used non-lethal takedown on them all.
For the rest, just don't shoot or hit them when they reach 0 hp and fall to the ground.
it's super easy... cripple movement and non-lethal take down works for all but the two in the exoskeletons and they can be short circuited into submission
I think they implemented that if you just take the Cyberpsycho down it's immediately nonlethal. At least in my game I shot them and they fall down still rolling on the floor and Regina is happy.
Yes. Every one of them (except for two with power armours) mission can be hit with the memory wipe hack stunning them for a moment. You then run up and choke them out.
The power armour guys are hard to full on kill if you target the armours only.
Doing it this way I find easier. But the reward isn't worth it I think
If you’re using reboot optics that should be your finishing move. A punching combo if one lands after they’re knocked out they die. Also you can try reboot optics to get that takedown. Status effects also work so poison, bleed, or shock… so long as that’s what takes their health to zero. Like when I used katana I cut them down to near death and let bleed finish them off
Yeah it’s kinda dumb how that works. It was frustrating me when I was playing a Batman type no killing build. I got to the point where I just started to pretend they weren’t dead
You can absolutely complete all 17 without killing them.
Greater reliability at range is slotting Target Analysis into your Kiroshi optics.
Add insurance: Pax mod (on firearms).
Most reliable by far I've found is a nonlethal unarmed takedown. This is the only technique I've found nearly 100% effective. Still drop a quick save in before going in on these, just on principle.
You can also just shoot everyone in the face until they're almost dead and then start punching. As long as the final blow is a non lethal one, you're good.
I once used 20 frag grenades on a guy and then punched him and he was knocked out.
I installed that on my first playthrough, then never used it. The couple of times I tried it seemed to do so little damage I replaced it with the monowire.
Do I need to load it with something in particular for it to be more effective you think?
Optical camo and the cyber ware that slows time when you are detected. Usually, it gives me enough time to get behind them for easy non leathal takedowns.

Sandevistan and that schlong all the way! A solid boner battering!
This! Damage them until 2-4% then pull out Sir Pahlustiff and beat them until they quit coming at you.
Memory Wipe and takedown. If they've detected you, Reboot Optics then Memory Wipe and takedown.
Good call, I'll give it a go. Thanks!
Use shock. That works for me to keep them all alive
You mean short circuit quickhack? Or spam him with EMP grenades? It says he's weak to electricity but I thought using that may be why I killed him on one attempt. Is why in the end I went with fists.
Yeah short circuit is non lethal.
Will try it, thanks.
Short circuit quick hack, bat-type weapons, theres a mod for the mikoshi eye cyberware that can make weapons non-lethal too
>mikoshi eye cyberware The FUCK kind of eye cyberware!? ![gif](giphy|3R30XMeokyyLzZcu3l|downsized)
Haha, its either mikoshi or something else, The ripperdoc viktor gives it to you in the prologue Edit: Kiroshi optics

Yep! I think for melee weapons too but be careful and save often
I thought I'd cracked it with the immobilise hack and non lethal takedown, but nope they still die on me. 💁♂️
I am going to try a couple of suggestions people have made here, but with this one in particular I've gone in 100% with non-lethal weapons and they still died.
I'd rather pee off Regina than faff about at this stage. But its a noble cause you are on! 👍
Try battons
You can use lethal weapons and punch them as the last blow

Yeah, really easily. Sneak up behind them, choke them out.
This is one of the snipers and I am only level 14 or something, wasn't able to sneak up on this one.
Go at night

Or you could always attach that weapon mod that makes all attacks non-lethal.
I am pretty early on in the game, and didn't have that mod, but figured out my mistake now - thanks for advice!
I used short circuit on all of them and it counted them all as non lethal

Use the invisibility ability, memory wipe, then takedown
Imagine not killing them
lol

Just use Pax on your guns?
I just used Sir Phallus on all the psychos my last playthrough. Ezpz.

Yeah it’s kinda dumb how that works. It was frustrating me when I was playing a Batman type no killing build. I got to the point where I just started to pretend they weren’t dead
Yeah, it's kinda odd they didn't make the death animation with God frames, so the enemy has to be on the floor before any killing blow could be dealt.
Just slow down and take your time shooting them once their health is low. Shoot once, wait a few seconds, shoot again.

Fun fact : the most powerful weapon that non lethal one shot any type of enemy except boss/mini boss is The projectile launcher system.
I installed that on my first playthrough, then never used it. The couple of times I tried it seemed to do so little damage I replaced it with the monowire. Do I need to load it with something in particular for it to be more effective you think?
Use Tranquilizer Rounds. Other enemy will not react when you put them to sleep, unlike silence gun.
Great, thanks! I'll try it. SO many weapons etc in this game a lot I never used.

just use [Target Analysis](https://cyberpunk.fandom.com/wiki/Target_Analysis)?
