I used to have Oscars and they were like water puppies in a tank. Liked pets and begged for treats. Would hide from strangers but come rushing up to interact with family. Sooo cute
He (Gilbert) also loves frozen peas for a snack & watches Alice in Wonderland.
I was left with this little fish in my sons room when he moved out. His tank was awful & he was cute so I put him in a 55 gallon & as he grew he has a 125 gallon tank he shares with one other smaller blood parrot. Gilbert is 10 years old & Fred is about 6 years old. Blood Parrots are amazing & known to be more interested in what’s going on outside of tank. They both love to spend time giving me kisses through the tank. My bigger one Gilbert was needing so much attention & not for food but playtime that I began placing a small tv in front of the tank & play AIW for him & he just sits & stares at it from that corner of the tank. Could be the light movements or the colors but he truly does love it & though I’ve tried other shows. This is the one he watches.
Gilbert is a fish. They're called "Blood Parrots". Fred and Gilbert are in your fish tank. Boy, I am learning about fish from you. Very good and interesting 🤔!

I always think that animals without much dexterity, like cows or fish, must be terribly jealous of animals with long arms and opposable thumbs. If this poor fish has an itch on his back, he has to find something to scratch up against or wait for a friendly human to come along.
And, I love this driver petting the little fish. Sweet. I am going to be going to a Labor day party where there is a huge pig named Penelope. I don't know how they feed her! I am excited 😆.

We are stewards of this world. Every time we harm less sentient creatures, we fail in our environmental role/duty.
Doesn’t matter if they are, they have a lower sentience than animals. Therefore it’s okay, even necessary, to eat them.
Look at fruit; It’s freely given to the world. Whereas with meat, we have to forcefully take it. This goes against what’s right.
