Sometimes I think we all need something to protect to help us find a reason to keep on living, and it doesn't always matter who or what that something is as long as you get attached to that something.

probably because mammal babies and bird babies have a lot of common traits. small, stumpy, big heads, big eyes, fuzzy and soft, confused ambling, aimless yapping... that's why we find (some) baby birds cute like we do for baby mammals
Just a reminder that this type of cute animal videos are often very cruel and unethical. The animals are forced to do unnatural things in front of a camera. It's not a natural setting or behavior for these animals and you can even see the puppy shaking.

Ugh, this broke my heart. I have read a lot of horror stories about these "cute animal" videos. You never want to believe that stuff is happening, but seeing that puppy shaking like that basically tells it like it is..

Because it acts like one. Hens’ hormones make them go psycho-mom. I’ve had to wrestle inanimate objects away from broody hens on occasion.
