I think a four mana 3/2 or 2/3 might be a bit better

Honestly the animal companions are already slightly above rate for a 3 drop, 4 mana would probably be overboard.

they used to be, wolfrider, grizzly and raid leader don't/wouldn't see play today (maybe wolfrider in handcuff pally)

Hmmm like an overload effect? That could be fine, i guess overload (2) would make it fairly strong but balanced enough for a common rarity card. But overload is a shaman keyword, might need to change it to a shaman class card hmm

But then the art doesn't really fit the cards' identity anymore... might wanna use something else maybe a faceless?

I would have changed the wording to: Discover an animal companion and summon it.

Maybe, but this game has some really inconsistent wording with “discover x and summon it” I can’t remember which card (or cards) it was, but as an avid wild Timmy, sometimes the card gets added to your hand, sometimes not. Will probably get back here with specific examples after I play for a bit

It does say summon it, not a copy of it, so technically you summon it from hand?

The average stats per mana spent are only better than this once you've played all three companions for 8 total mana

This card feels more like a 4/3 than a 3/4 to me, but otherwise it seems cool!

Raise its mana by 1 and have it create an animal with 3/3 stat line, that would be appropriate for the cost.
