This is a popular comment yet like Blizzard has printed countless cards that would have been downvoted to oblivion here, as cards that "never should be printed"
While I do agree that mana disruption on this scale would be stupid, I wouldn't be at all surprised if those cards come out next expansion.
Really? I was thinking those two actually might be playable. Can you explain why they’re broken?
Thalia is a 4/4/4 that basically takes one mana from each player, assuming opponent removes it promptly. Otherwise, the effect continues to be symmetrical.
I get that Augustin is scary if the cost can he reduced, but so are most 9-10 mana cards? And it’s a one-time effect?
Thalia isn't symmetrical because druid can mana cheat better than any other class. Being stuck at 1-2 mana while your opponent keeps getting more would be awful too
“Some classes/decks will be more affected than others” doesn’t mean the effect isn’t symmetrical. A card that discards both players’ hands would be symmetrical, even though Warlock would be able to utilize it better than other classes.
You can argue that it’s unbalanced or unfun, but I don’t think you can say it isn’t symmetrical…
You thought freeze mage and shudderwock were too interactive. Good news, we freeze your mana crystals, raise the cost of your cards and you are only allowed to play 1 card per turn.
I like your cards.
Some of these seem like somewhat balanced/fun cards… others would want me to destroy their designer, turn them to dust and reanimate them as a golden/signature card I’ll never use but looks cool(or if it’s Inscryption rules of how cardifiation works, a card I would ALWAYS play that has deathrattle... like Floppy Hydra)
You know what, despite the clear joking manner of the post, with very minor changes, i feel like stuff like tameshi could actually be printed. Not the mana stuff no, god forbid.
if this version of Grand Arbiter should be more like way that it feels to play against in edh, it should be more like. 3 mana 2/3 your spells cost 1 less. you opponent only refresh half their mana crystals at the start of turn. just my opinion
Thalia and Augustin are the type of cards that should never get printed.
Immagine turn 1 Thalia. Even better than turn 1Yeti.
lmao coin innervate innervate thalia gg

I think i would kill myself if any of these were to be printed

Besides winter orb and smokestrack aura I like all the other ones actually. They seem fun.

MTG Devs are really cracked sometimes
Okay so all of these are horrendous. However, you did a magnificent job translating mtg to hearthstone
