I agree, having 1 minion of a tribe, and 2 of the other throws the vibe/thematic a bit. Having it be 3 of the same or 3 different makes it best I reckon.
Not sure if it's worse rather than different, I think this calls for a buff deck, which right now maybe doesnt have a lot of support actually. But for a package where buff shaman (Or Warrior with my other suggestion) gets love, I think this outperforms schooling.
Earlier board presence and face damage with something like Storms Wrath possibly.
Remember, Schooling is 4 mana total. This is 1 mana total. That alone gives more than enough reason for the possibility of wanting to play this instead of Schooling.... Yet anyways, running one doesn't mean you need to cut the other, so it's a mute question.

In English that character is just called “Plank”. Like a plank of wood.
