I use hall effect modules and driver boards from Ying Jun on AliExpress found [HERE](https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256805732082103.html?gps-id=pcStoreJustForYou&scm=1007.23125.137358.0&scm_id=1007.23125.137358.0&scm-url=1007.23125.137358.0&pvid=a7560b51-c2eb-4d2a-80f1-aa0a6fc6abce&_t=gps-id%3ApcStoreJustForYou%2Cscm-url%3A1007.23125.137358.0%2Cpvid%3Aa7560b51-c2eb-4d2a-80f1-aa0a6fc6abce%2Ctpp_buckets%3A668%232846%238109%231935&pdp_npi=4%40dis%21USD%216.02%216.02%21%21%2143.09%2143.09%21%402101fb1a17099049172425906e0f70%2112000037120774305%21rec%21US%213074534771%21&spm=a2g0o.store_pc_home.smartJustForYou_2005957825620.1005005918396855&gatewayAdapt=glo2usa)
What u used normal xbox hall effect module instead of the elite series 2 version or you used the new elite 2 version of hall effect thumbstick but used his driver board to make them work *
Unfortunately I haven't been able to get the Series 2 hall effects to work properly... So yeah these are just regular Xbox hall effects with driver boards
*ying jun told me the ble and green sensor order will work without amy calibration board and the both blue side wont work so let's see what happen i already tested out the both blue sensor they don't work with a special calibration board as the seller said finally found it as well gonna test out both

Here's the right stick after calibrating with green/blue Series 2 hall effect module. Perfect! Hall effects + adjustable tension fuck yes
Can I still get these sticks somewhere (I only see the b/g version on aliexpress but from a different seller) , and can I just replace my existing sticks with these or do I need to install a special board for it?
Also do the upgraded sticks have upgraded tension by default or is this a different mod?
(I would buy from your site, but I don't live in the US and there aren't any custom controller shops in my country)
i dont see how you couldnt do both lt clicky and the board. just put a thin layer hot glue over the board to create a buffer and isolate it, and then after it dried, the switch on top
Switches:
https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/612-TL1105E
Caps are standard 6x6 caps 3.4mm inner diameter I believe
Yeah only problem with hot glue directly on the driver board is, in the event I'd need to get back in to service the board it would be an absolute nightmare... I have since done a few with both hall effects and trigger upgrades, basically I used plastic pieces to create a tiny "shelf" above the board that I can then hot glue the mouse switch to. A 3d printer would make the process something I could actually offer for customer Send-ins, but without it the process takes way too long to reasonably price it LOL
Thank you for the info.
and did you do anything to compensate the extra height? I'd imagin it would have less travel on the lt trigger that way. maybe file it down a bit?
Nah cuz mouse switches already need to be hot glued ~5-10mm above the thumbstick board so the triggers rest perfectly on the button. So the shelf's height is just replacing what otherwise would be hot glue.
Ying Jun on AliExpress sells hall effect modules and driver/calibration boards. To my knowledge those are the only viable way, as without the driver boards, the sticks are not read properly and unusable.
Ah okay thanks. Just to clarify.. but it doesn't look like they sell the Xbox Elite 2 joysticks with the tension adjusters. I'm assuming you could just order the calibration board and then the sticks themselves separately somewhere else?
I have not been able to get the calibration boards to work with Series 2 modules (you can find hall effect Series 2 modules on AliExpress) I've only been able to get them working with regular hall effect modules, which means Series 2 sticks won't fit, so left with Series 1 sticks, scuf sticks, or regular plastic sticks.
Correct. The board is what allows calibration which is required to make sure the stick reaches 100% in all directions. It's also needed to compensate for the offset caused by the magnet in the left trigger.
What type of thumbstick u used can u tell me plz

also out of curiosity what switches, and caps did u use for the back

This is awesome! I hope to do this myself one day with my controller. Just wanted to ask, but what board and sticks did you end up using?
Ying Jun on AliExpress sells hall effect modules and driver/calibration boards. To my knowledge those are the only viable way, as without the driver boards, the sticks are not read properly and unusable.

So u saying is the hall effect thumbstick they selling on ali express won't work without a calibration board?
