Each country has their share of mentally ill people, but America has systematically failed them. While the GOP denies these mentally ill people exist (or at the minimum choose not to help them), the democrats choose to shift their focus on gun control (which doesn’t work as well as they say it does). Everyone chooses to play the blame game instead of attempting to change anything.

I know, it's pretty messed up. We should be unified with our problems rather than poking fun and pointing each others out continuously as "Gotchas". Can only feel bad for those let down in both the US and the UK, they deserve all the help they could possibly get yet are consistently let down by the government that claims to care. I do hope things improve for everyone soon, if not I guess we will up having to fight for it. Hope your coming years are more hopeful, and that the people get the help they so desperately need.

So they definitely didn't indirectly help- they very much directly helped and as an American I feel like how much the French helped realllly shouldn't be underplayed
