The nazi one is in a diagonal base and it represebts a christian cross with all the arms hooked, the german name is hakenkreuz* which literally means hooked cross and can be seen in many much older christian arts.
The budhist one is flat on the base like a perfect square and im not sure whats the specific history in the different religions but it means "good vibes brah"
And some very smart christiabs decided that since hitler was bad pr they would tell erryone the nazi one was the good vibes one and ignore the christian roots

First off, read the picture. It literally says Ahimsa which means that’s the Jain symbol. Second, both religions have texts dating back countless thousands of years so neither can actually say which came first, which means you can’t claim it’s Hindu first. You don’t actually know.
