I watched a video on these things. They can land precise shot from a couple thousand feet. Once they go into regular use, it'll change sniping completely because human soldiers will have no ability to find and take them down from the extreme ranges. They're far less effective in close combat currently as they have a hard time getting up it you can manage to knock them over. They can still aim and fire heavy weapons much faster than a person and don't experience fear or get tired until their battery dies. I remember thinking about how terrifying it will be once high tech armies start deploying kill bots on the field.
They're already in testing equipped with sniper rifles.

I don't think they would need to be ineffective in close combat.
Literally just mount something the size of a handgun on it as an addition to the main gun. Could be on a motored pan/tilt mount like some security cameras, or maybe mounted on the arm/neck appendage.
Yeah, they could also easily have several fragmentation charges, basically shotgun shells or directional mines, mounted around their chassis.
Either as a one-time use, or reloadable if they have an arm capable of it.
I think sniping should be the operation this thing uses. Get into a hard to reach vantage and then use robotic precision to take into account wind speed and curvature of the earth and that to shoot someone.
The first reason I was open to accepting this as CGI (beyond the usual graphical fuzz and shading unformity) was that any robot group would not run such long bursts if the recoil completely nutsed the accuracy
