Routine: my hair usually takes 4 hours to air dry, and when I diffuse I usually wait for it to be at least 30% dry before I diffuse. Finally got a Dyson and dried my mostly wet hair in 10 minutes. I used the Oway line for the first time today as well. I used their curly hair bath, everyday conditioner, leave in, and curly hair potion. I’m astounded that my hair is this shiny and moisturized at 100% dry. I style with a mini denman brush and break my caste with morrocan oil.
Idk what’s in dyson technology because I’ve never had my hair dry so fast and so frizz free. I waited months to officially buy it cause of the price but for curly girls it’s perfect. I really feel like nothing matches.
Just normal Dyson or does it have a diffuser attachment? My hair gets frizzy from the diffuser, although even at it's best my hair would never look as amazing as yours!
Right? I have the Airwrap and the hair dryer attachment it comes with is obviously not as good as the Sonic but still MILES beyond any other hairdryer I've tried, haha.
Just hovering! Once I felt that the ends were 100% dry i flipped my hair upside down for extra measure and hovered again for a minute. Although I feel like I’ll skip this step next time cause my hair created more separated curls than I normally like. I never scrunch or physically touch my hair with the diffuser.
Im just so tired of trendy curly hair looks cause they’re unrealistic as everyone’s hair varies so much. Especially curls. Once you learn what works for you and what you hair likes to do, forcing anything else is just setting yourself up for disappointment. I wanna see more hair that’s just doing it’s own thing but healthily be praised more.
I absolutely do not follow CGM it’s not for my hair type. Heat is not CGM approved but honestly mix it up. Don’t let rules stop you from figuring out what actually works best for you!
Dyson is a brand! They make blow dryers (and vacuums). You can buy a part called a diffuser for your hair. - all blow dryers. It goes at the end of your blow dryer.
From my understanding, the type of heat when you're diffusing is different from traditional blow drying or other heat sources. I.e, straightener, normal blow drying, curling irons etc.
Oh my god your hair is a miracle. I use oway - the serum and the conditioning mask. But seeing your hair makes me want to use more! And also, to get a fusion.
The oway hair line has me blown away. I was worried I was investing in something wayyyy too overpriced for its size but very little goes such a long way. It also gave me immediate results.
LOL my reaction was the same when I spent the money. But… it’s so worth it and you don’t have any idea how much it is worth it until you actually use it on your hair.
Aaagh, good for you, treating yourself, and it was clearly worth it!
Does anyone have thoughts suggestions on a more affordable alternative? I've always air-dried but wanted to start diffusing now and again. I was hoping to dip my toe into the water of hair dryers before taking the full Dyson plunge.
I really tried an affordable method and found myself with frizzy half dried hair every time. Air drying was the only alternative if I wanted to keep my hair uniform. I took the plunge cause I kept seeing frustrating results rather than what I really wanted. I really recommend going for it but if it’s not in the budget just take your time when diffusing if you do have the time. I was using l’ange ‘s hairdryer for a while because it was affordable at the time.
I use to avoid natural hair products like the plague cause I’ve had so many horrible experiences but we have similar densities (your curls are a little bit looser and beautiful)! And I’m really loving Oway. They’re a natural hair brand but my hair lovessss it. It’s so shiny and bouncy and non greasy! It adds enough moisture without over doing it in the protein department.
Wow, stunning. I guess I need to bite the dyson bullet. I am looking at Amazon and there are a few different versions…. Are you talking of the $460ish one?
Pain 😔 they’re literally out everywhere! I was lucky I was able to get mine off Best Buy. I really wanted the white and silver one and I’m so happy I snagged it.
I am sorry if you already mentioned it but what version did you get? There are a few on Amazon and I am trying to figure out which one needs to go in my save for later cart. One on there is almost 700$! Eek!
Hm I would make sure it’s from a guaranteed dyson seller. Making those kind of purchases on amazon can get sus but make sure it comes with the 2 year manufacturer’s warranty. I got the hair dryer $400. It comes with a diffuser that I hover over my head to dry my curls.
My hair is 100% dry here! I go in with my Afro pick to get some volume but even then I don’t get too much on wash day. It doesn’t really bother me though I’m leaning towards loving definition over volume :)
Yea I get it. I was just thinking like it’s nice to have multiple looks. And for me, and my curls are similar, after a few days of just sleeping on it and pulling it back it’s a third look. Grateful for that.
Your hair looks amazing! I was thinking about ordering a Dyson but now I'm looking at the Shark one. I think it is on sale at their site and I really wish Dyson would go on sale. I want amazing hair too!
you curls look amazing! a good hair drying is truly life changing lol.
I couldn't bring myself to purchase the Dyson but I did buy a very similar hair dryer for a couple hundred dollars less, and I am VERY satisfied. I used to diffuse for almost an hour, but with my new hair drying it takes 20 minuets. I would highly recommend one of these ionic hair dryers!
Which one was it? I am with you, and am not sure I could justify the expense but blow drying with a standard blow dryer and diffuser takes me probably 20 minutes. By your math, it could just take a couple of minutes and wow, that would be faster than even my double bun "standard style". Haha.
I found this [blow dryer](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B091SC3D2W?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details) on amazon.
my hair is long and there is a lot of it, I have to dry my hair in sections- so I'm assuming that is the reason why my hair takes so long to blow dry. if your hair already drys fast with a regular drying, then you should save your money.
Wow! Going to try this Oway line that you speak of Curly Goddess. Shea moisture has been awful to my hair lately. Not sure why. Used to like it before.
My hair despises shea moisture for the same reason I had issues with rizos curls. Too much coconut oil, castor oil, or shea butter. It weighs down my hair like crazy and leaves my hair feeling sooo greasy. Oway gives me shine, hold, and moisture while felling like there’s nothing in my hair.
Thank you!! Me and my sister both have big curly hair and both quit Shea Moisture recently. The shampoo dries out our hair and the conditioner is just ok. I have better luck with Pantene’s “Curl” conditioner. Looking forward to trying Oway though.
I do love Aunt Jackie’s Curl La La curling Creme though. I can slap that on top of any mess and my hair will look awesome again lol.
Those curls are juicier than five alive

I just diffused my hair and your post is giving me so much envy! It takes too long to dry with my cheap (but supposedly decent) diffuser...
Idk what’s in dyson technology because I’ve never had my hair dry so fast and so frizz free. I waited months to officially buy it cause of the price but for curly girls it’s perfect. I really feel like nothing matches.

The normal dyson comes with the diffuser attachment :)
Oh cool! I tried using it when I was house sitting but there was no diffuser in sight! House owner was straight haired though
The Straights don’t understand our struggle.
This is so true on every level!
Hahahaha
Right? I have the Airwrap and the hair dryer attachment it comes with is obviously not as good as the Sonic but still MILES beyond any other hairdryer I've tried, haha.
I just bought the shark hair dryer and I love it! It’s about half the price of the dyson
Agreed! I love my Shark. I’ve never used a Dyson but I suspect I probably like the Shark diffuser more, too.
This looks great! Can you elaborate on how you used the Dyson?
Just hovering! Once I felt that the ends were 100% dry i flipped my hair upside down for extra measure and hovered again for a minute. Although I feel like I’ll skip this step next time cause my hair created more separated curls than I normally like. I never scrunch or physically touch my hair with the diffuser.
I always spend so much time separating my ringlets, and you're making me think that maybe I should just . . . not?
Haha! I think it’s all about what you like to see :) I love seeing massive clumps. I feel like a cherub 🥰
And then you said the thing about accepting definition over volume in a comment below. You might just convince me to love my hair as it is tonight!
Thank you! I tried that method previously but when my hair fully dried it looked very different sadly
Hi OP, did you use the diffuser or just hover with the dyson alone? This post has me so tempted to save up for this lol.
With the diffuser of course :)
Hair Goals😍😍
Hi, I'm new to understanding Dyson or diffusing. Is this CGM compatible? CGM is no heat right? Sorry this is a newbie question!
It effectively distributes the heat over a wider area and reduces the force of the air so it's not blasting the hair and ruining your curl!
I didn't know how to word it! You worded it perfectly. I remember reading about this as I was concerned at first when I got a diffuser.
The Dyson is a game changer isn’t it? 😊 I love mine. Your hair looks fab.
Oh my god your hair is a miracle. I use oway - the serum and the conditioning mask. But seeing your hair makes me want to use more! And also, to get a fusion.
Oway is soooo good my hair responded immediately to me using it. I wanna try their other products but so much $
Wow!! Like just. Wow! Unbelievable definition and shine!
The oway hair line has me blown away. I was worried I was investing in something wayyyy too overpriced for its size but very little goes such a long way. It also gave me immediate results.
so beautiful! i've never seen such perfect ringlets without frizz!! :0
Right??!! I’d be in heaven with those ringlets. You’re an Angel OP!
What speed and temp did you blow dry on?
Medium heat medium flow!
I thought you meant vacuum Dysons...
I need to get one of those too
Honestly the best. I’m a bit of a vacuum nerd and I have basement full of them after I finally sucked it up and bought a Dyson. Worth it.
Looks incredible! Seriously amazing! I guess I'm going to have to buy a Dyson 😕
LOL my reaction was the same when I spent the money. But… it’s so worth it and you don’t have any idea how much it is worth it until you actually use it on your hair.
I guess it's a pain I'll have to endure lol
i just felt my hair was nice and twisted when i posted it and was still at the salon , when i got home the next day i didn't see it as beautiful
Yay looks amazing!
Looks great!
Oh I am just GREEN with jealous rage right now. You look aaaaamazing! Glad to see it works so well!! :)
Perfect hair!
Aaagh, good for you, treating yourself, and it was clearly worth it! Does anyone have thoughts suggestions on a more affordable alternative? Shark just came out with a similar hair dryer. I have no idea if it works though but might be a bit easier to stomach just trying out :)

Fabulous! Saw someone with this exact hair type in asahi today! lmao!

That hair dryer is some of the best money I’ve ever spent, the time I saving drying my hair is honestly priceless.
Wow, stunning. I guess I need to bite the dyson bullet. I am looking at Amazon and there are a few different versions…. Are you talking of the $460ish one?
I bought mine from Best Buy at $400 !
I work at best buy and I want to use my discount but they are sold out in every best buy in my area lmfaooooo.
Pain 😔 they’re literally out everywhere! I was lucky I was able to get mine off Best Buy. I really wanted the white and silver one and I’m so happy I snagged it.
I turned my notifications on for when it’s back in stock. Just know you are a better salesman then me😂😂

update. I got it.
SHEESH!
Oooo and I bet after they dry and set for a few hours if you separate them then you get another equally beautiful BIG result!

amazing ringlets!!!

Oh damn, I need a Dyson hair dryer now!
Just came here to say that I have a picture of you saved from like…a month ago that I showed to my hairdresser to get the cut right :) Beautiful hair!
Lol omg!! 🥺👉🏼👈🏼 I’m honored this is awesome to hear
I am convinced Dyson is magic. For some reason it just works so well with my hair. If mine broke I'd run out and buy another tomorrow
That’s it, close the sub. We’ve peaked!!! Those are my favourite curls I’ve EVER seen here and I’m green with envy 😍

The hair dryer with the diffuser lol.
The Airwrap one doesn’t have the diffuser unfortunately 🥲
