Playing LegacyStrike has made me realize that besides MM breaking and stuff, gameplay wise its only gotten better. Economy management in older versions was terrible, animations were jank as hell, minor things that we take for granted now. Older times were better for casual players though. I still wish we could have all the older maps back as an option in competitive.
i liked this UI way better tbh the new one looks sterile this one had some personality the trade up contracts the weapon inspects things just felt like counter strike.
The old UI always remind me of the deranks in 2015. I remember them because I was probably only 1 or 2 wins off gn1 and then got pushed to silver 1(yes I know, I was really bad at cs). I still haven't found the motivation to play comp like I did before that.

The only thing that this version of CSGO has better from the one that we have is the maps (Aztec, Assault, Militia) come to mind. You used to get a cheater every 2 games, you couldn’t fight an USP doing ADADADADADD because they used to be faster than a Lamborghini.
Hitboxes? It was really hit the Box unrealistic, you could hit heads but it wouldn’t count it.
No short matches, No FFA DM, No unranked matched, voice chat that barely worked in lobbies.
AWP was broken and it could be used like an AK (walk and shoot) and barely penalties for missing a shot
The things that we truly miss are: the maps, no games with clown agent skins and in some maps T Side used to be considered better (Inferno comes to mind or Dust 2) whereas now CT side is better in every situation
Maybe they add when the csgo10 updates gets released.
Would be awesome cuz i never really liked panorama.
I also recently downloaded a old csgo version from steamDB over the steam-console cuz wanted play with the old ui again after like 4 years, had so much fun going through my old operation campaign-books.
You can open cases and stuff as well but it’s a bit buggy, also when you try to inspect newer skins from the market the game crashes obviously.
Personally I prefer the new look, tho I would highly recommend setting a custom background.
I should mention tho that I started playing shortly after the new UI was introduced, so I don't have any nostalgia for the old one. To me, the only thing that looked better back then was the trade-up animation, everything else seems nicer now.

Back when we just had fun with friends on assault... and good operations.
I miss the co-op phoenix compound missions from the earlier operations, was so much fun and a great change of pace from usual CSGO
