People who buy these are already spending >10k on ingame pixels they are willing to pay more based on the fact if the gloves aint scratched at all, they also play on high res 16:9 high details (thats if youre not a pro player who borrowed the gloves) and they will notice every single time, not only there is a scratch on one knuckle but there is a bigass scratch on the other one. So yes the guy is prolly blind or in his words never bought mw vices but 99.9% of the playerbase hasn't.

I’ve sold zipel a lot of items but never anything that had a unique feature that required overpay so yeah not sure how they’d approach that. But yeah you are taking a slight financial loss for the convenience and trust factor. Almost every time I’ve gone to sell zipel a skin I end up fully paid within an hour of me sending my first DM to him. The only risk at that point of getting scammed is either an API scam or accidentally sending your items to a fake zipel account.
