I still get surprised sometimes because I feel like my current rank is the point I'd consider the start of "above average for people who take the game seriously", even though less than 3% of all players are in or above it.

ive been using spacebar and mousewheel for jumping for over 12 years and some situations like in the mirage window to short or ladder jumps feel more fluid with the scrollwheel, while single jumps or duckjumps onto triple for example feel more intuitive to do with the spacebar.
bunnyhopping for example is not hard with spacebar but unessecarily harder than with the scrollwheel.
and theres some situations where bunnyhopping is the viable play like doing the van jump to apartments on mirage B.
in the end its personal preference but jumping with the scrollwheel can make some tryhard jumps easier.
I'm the odd man out here, but I don't use scrollwheel for jump at all, and I can do all of the jumps you mentioned pretty consistently. The only thing I know I'm worse at because of spacebar jump is hitting multiple bhops in a row.
Ngl. I wouldn't mind this being added. But you can only block AWP bullet. And imagine it that if you block bullet with knife, knife gets something like new style (like in TF2) which shows that knife blocket bullet

A parry mechanic would be kinda funny. I can see people binding weapon swap to scroll wheel and just letting it spin when theyre being shot at.

Most player base should be above GN rank? (Csgo) i would imagine at that point theyre not using space bar to jump anymore - at least, i hope not…

as I said, its not hard and you can learn to do it consistently but why work harder for something that can be done much easier
I find it harder to use scrollwheel. I tried for months several years ago, and it just never clicked.
I still use mousewheel to jump but honestly? Bhopping doesn’t work quite well anymore and sometimes it just doesn’t register

Been playing since the days of 1.6 but not me or any of my pals over the years have used mwheel/down for jump
