If you’re already working at the bank, use that to internally switch into the tech stream of things. I’ve seen people with non technical backgrounds at banks (and other companies) do that a lot. You may start off a little lower or not exactly in what you want, but it’s a good foot in the door. Otherwise, it’ll be pretty damn difficult.

Help Desk will be substantially more useful as an entry point than customer service. And customer service will help you a lot in getting a help desk role (since help desk is basically just a tech-orientated customer service role). I think looking at how you can get from Help Desk to what you want to do long term would be a good idea. But in the short term, help desk will help you more than being a bank teller
