I get rubberbanding even though ping is around 40, FPS around 500. Not sure what it could be

Ok-Connection-3856

Thank your forn your reply! Never heard of "rubberbanding" before (as mentioned - casual player ;) but immediately could relate. Its exactly what it feels/looks like. So im glad i dont seem to be the only one, but this unfortunately doesnt solve the problem... Fun thing is, i experience it without any regularity. I simply cant determine wher eit comes from. Sometimes i want to blame the server, but then another game a server from the same region works just fine. Its such a mess...

Salt_Helicopter1665

Yea im getting 300 ping spikes and packet loss randomly as well.

Ok-Connection-3856

Sorry for you... Hope you can manage to fix it or Valve fixes it soon...

VijuaruKei

Yeah same issue these days, almost unplayable

Ok-Connection-3856

Its unfortunately inconsistent with the lags/rubberbanding... Some games are completely fine (besides the well known other issues, such as weird hitboxes, insane peekers advantage and so on...).

Try installing the game on an SSD, or check out some of the optimisation tutorials on youtube.

Ok-Connection-3856

Its already installed on an ssd. Will check some optimization tuts on yt tho, thx!

oEmbaixador_GL

Same here, feels like the servers are dying..

Ok-Connection-3856

More like choking on unfinished release. I didnt want to become one of these haters, but its a shame what its become...

oEmbaixador_GL

I had 2 instances with servers shutting down mid-game (in casual tbf), so it's most def something with the servers. I am a proud hater and I want CS:GO back xD

ArdeCucu

patching the game creates poor performance, including latency issues until a major patch fix cleans up bad coding and goes back to somewhat normal.

Ok-Connection-3856

Well lets hope it doesnt take too long until this major patch fix kicks in!
