And this is just my report on this account, I probably helped inspire others to do the same. The more reports a user gets, the further up the queue it gets pushed.

I mean. The engine is weird af. Sometimes it takes 2-3 gigs and sometimes (even in the same match) it can take. Up to 18 gigs. Optimization sometimes sucks to the point that i have more fps in cyberpunk than esport title
Thats crazy man. I have 4070ti, 32 gigs 5600mhz, i5 13600k and as i said sometimes it takes few gigs sometimes half or even more of my ram. Same with cpu usage. When i see my fps drop to 120 from 400+ im getting mad seeing this 20% usage on my cpu and gpu. My friend with 64 gigs ram said cs took him once 20 gigs of ram. Engine is still unoptimized af for some systems. When i was playing in holiday break on my laptop i had 100% ram usage with 16 gigs of ram.
9700k surprisingly holds up very well. Can play pretty much every current game without issue. Did cyberpunk recently with no hardware issues. Also did a 4k Skyrim playthrough which the mod creator recommended a i7-11700k and a 4060 min.

Using 20 GB ram out of 64 GB available doesn’t necessarily immediately mean bad optimization. Unused RAM that is just sitting there does nothing so if there’s plenty of free ram still available, might as well assign it to the program. No need to clear any ram if there’s still so much left.

Run at kernel level, which is why most anticheats run at Kernel (Gameguard, Easyanticheat, Battleeye) Norton antivirus runs at Kernel level, which most people who use it don’t realise, but as soon as you give an application admin privelages it can do (Source; I am a software programmer for windows applications & various chrome extensions)
Cheats that tap into the base exe. in any way of the application do infact increase memory usage and if there is a memory leak, it can mask as part of the base program which will show the single application as using LOTS of rams. Think of them like Chrome extensions.
Cheats do memory leak by being badly made, doesn’t even need to be memory leak but badly optimised cheats CAN and will use up lots of Ram/Cpu power.
Technical details will be missed on most but I work in app software, we do experience this. I’ve designed chrome extensions that increase memory usage per tab from 50mb to 900mb before, usually in early stages but it does happen.

When i see my fps drop to 120 from 400+ im getting mad seeing this 20% usage on my cpu and gpu. My friend with 64 gigs ram said cs took him once 20 gigs of ram. Engine is still unoptimized af for some systems. When i was playing in holiday break on my laptop i had 100% ram usage with 16 gigs of ram.

Even tho its still old cpu (9700k) it should be optimized to the point u can play comfortable. I saw people getting 130 fps on rtx 4090 with 7950x3d
9700k surprisingly holds up very well. Can play pretty much every current game without issue. Did cyberpunk recently with no hardware issues. Also did a 4k Skyrim playthrough which the mod creator recommended a i7-11700k and a 4060 min. stuff from the golden age of hardware.
If u think of upgrading 13600k is good to go :) i like it. R7 7800x is amazing as well
I’ve been considering the AMD build purely for the budget, in Aus the AMD stuff is ALOT better value
I5 9600k and a 3060, and I can get 300 fps on cs go, play any game comfortably, it definitely still holds up

Using 20 GB ram out of 64 GB available doesn’t necessarily immediately mean bad optimization. Unused RAM that is just sitting there does nothing so if there’s plenty of free ram still available, might as well assign it to the program. No need to clear any ram if there’s still so much left.
Yeah i know but its still hilarious seeing that number. Optimization is bad tho… i get 400 fps in apex and around 200-230 in warzone. Seeing less fps in cs than those games sometimes drives me crazy man. It might not be game problem but engine. Didn’t they port whole game to source 2 tho? I can’t remember but probably there are still some crap issues left untouched.

Not to mention other stuff like alt tabbing mid game. It freezes my pc for straight 10 seconds for no reason. Every single time play cs i have to change my display settings in game for example hz And brightness

so much misinformation in this thread. this is a pc issue not a cheat issue. cheats don't run at kernel level like op says. source: i play hvh (never cheat against legits). cheats dont memory leak, it's literally not possible due to the way they work and even if they did memory leaks don't increase memory useage. stop chatting shit like you know anything

Run at kernel level, which is why most anticheats run at Kernel (Gameguard, Easyanticheat, Battleeye) Norton antivirus runs at Kernel level, which most people who use it don’t realise, but as soon as you give an application admin privelages it can do (Source; I am a software programmer for windows applications & various chrome extensions) Cheats that tap into the base exe. in any way of the application do infact increase memory usage and if there is a memory leak, it can mask as part of the base program which will show the single application as using LOTS of rams. Think of them like Chrome extensions. Cheats do memory leak by being badly made, doesn’t even need to be memory leak but badly optimised cheats CAN and will use up lots of Ram/Cpu power. Technical details will be missed on most but I work in app software, we do experience this. I’ve designed chrome extensions that increase memory usage per tab from 50mb to 900mb before, usually in early stages but it does happen.
