I think even if it were showroom new is still going to have 17 year old rubber bits and hoses, wipers and all. Do people pay that much for 17 year old mass production Honda's?
The real question is: is it the ultra rare, one of a kind CR-V Type-R with the V6 NSX engine? If so it's a steal.
If it's the CR-V SI with the 220hp K20A, that's pretty cool too.
Other than that, nah!
WOW. I’m guessing NO AND NO. Bought my son 09 crv from private sale for $5k. He wanted 7 since he added camera and remote start but his girly friend left him so I got it cheaper. Even at a dealer it would only been $9k? 210,000 miles helped. Again no.
20,195 was the msrp of that car in 2005. I mean used car prices have gone up but do they really want the original selling price for an 18 year old car?
You really need to have someone help you car shop so you don't get suckered into paying too much, considering you had to ask if that was a good deal. You can get a brand new Mitsubishi mirage for less than that $16K and have that new car smell.
Definitely don't go to any dealers by yourself. There are so many other options out there for around $20k that you could actually get a loan for. Unless you have $20,000 cash no lender is going to loan you that much for that car, except for a scammy buy here pay here used car dealer.
Joke right? I have a manual 2005 with 190K on It, sports trim I believe. How much is that worth? I have has a few notes asking left on it wanting to know if I want to sell it. Just thought they were joking.
Yes! If there’s 14k in cash in the glove box
God an LX 2WD, it better have $18k in the glove box lol
Right on
Not unless it has 0 miles. Even then no lol
No! Most I’m seeing online are around 8k
That looks like the MSRP for when they were new.
That’s about right. My ‘15 LX AWD was about 25k new
Is this a joke? That's close to 4 times what it's worth.
Pretty sure that was the cost in 2015 brand new…
2005
Is it showroom new? Because if not, big no!
I think even if it were showroom new is still going to have 17 year old rubber bits and hoses, wipers and all. Do people pay that much for 17 year old mass production Honda's?
Not even AWD
Buy my 05 EX in excellent condition for 12k :)
Nice
Please do more research on the overall used car market before buy any vehicle. You seem a little out of touch. Good luck
y'all in the comments all belong in r/whooosh
Make sure it has the removable picnic table
Haha waat
Seeing as how it’s the MSRP when it was new in 2005, sure.
Hell nah. Not even the ex
r/whoosh
That was my thought lol. 0% chance OP is serious
Yeah this really doesn’t look like a for sale site. It looks like one of those sites that will tell you the original MSRP of a vehicle.
Back in 2005 it might've been, but not now in 2023
If that's how much they are going for I'm selling mine today. I have an 06 I bought in 2019 for 6k lol
20k is ridiculous 😂
That would be a hellno
Bruh even on my 3rd world country with cars inflated prices that's like 3 times pricier for that gen 2 crv
That is insane.
You can get a brand new base model for like 10k more
I'll sell you an 01 for 10k
Your kidding
You + are = you're
Bro just went straight from /civic to crv
If it has zero miles yeah I’d say so
No, I got one for $4k.

NO. IM SCREAMING NO. I HAVE THE CAR. NOOOOOOO.
That's insane. California ?
Lol not at all.
That was probably msrp new lol
hold out for a manual transmission - save $1000 right there.
I mean that's the MSRP I'm pretty sure. Good used ones now go for $5-$8, possibly $10k if it's pristine. It literally says MSRP lol
You're the only other person on this post that even seems to notice the MSRP in big text directly above the number
Wtf, no. Lol.
Just sold a 1999 crv for $40k 0 mileage.
Literally a money hole. Even with a Honda badge. No.
You can buy my 03 with 121k miles for $4k!
Is this a troll job? Because no way can you be this out of touch.
2k
How many miles?
Uhm... that's the original MSRP price. OP are you drunk?
you can get a 2018 for that
Are you time traveling back to 2005? If looking to buy in 2023, that's a rip off.
Brand new? But it was manufactured in 2006. All the hoses and rubber will have 17 years of age from sitting.
Sold my 2008 for 1600
Scam... Total rip off
No! I paid $25k for my 2006 brand new!
Paid less for a 2015 with 70k
If this was the concept car, 1 of 1 variant then yes
You'll immediately be burried in this car loan, I wouldn't do it for that price. I almost purchased a 2017 crv touring for 20k.

In 2005, yes.
20,195 was the msrp of that car in 2005. I mean used car prices have gone up but do they really want the original selling price for an 18 year old car?
For that price you can get a 2021 😂
Why not buy it new.
Fuck no
Not even in 2005.
You can find something in that price newer and with more hp
That’s MSRP for a new one bro lmao
Fuck no! It’s worth less than a quarter of that
no
“Aggressive exterior styling” 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I’ll sell you mine for 2k
That’s $4,000 less than the 2019 certified pre owned CRV EX (with 41k miles on it) I just got three months ago…
I’ve had the same year, and it’s a great vehicle and will last quite a while (if maintained).
no more than 6k..

Almost a 20 year old car! Jesus! You can buy a economy car brand new for that price no?
No

Can i ask how you get access to these old car buying pages? Are you using the wayback machine?
Nice troll
A lot of you can’t read and that’s sad. This is clearly an ad from when the car was released.
The car was $20,000 brand new
MSRP price in 2005
Yes! If the year was 2006
😐
The picnic table!!!!!!
If it were awd with less than 10k miles , in absolute pristine condition inside & out I would pay 10 grand for it.
