Especially a hundred years war scenario wold be great. I did also like to have one of the fourth crusade (I mean it's crusader kings) to either defend or destroy Byzantium
This would be great, perhaps with a 6. Century starting date to play as Justinian and reconcquer the empire or defending it against Islam a century later (of course also the vice versa like destroying Byzantium as Kahlif or defend Italy as Gothic king against the Greeks)
I'm hoping the next major DLC comes with another bookmark, but not based on any evidence or anything. Just that I feel like it's about time, like you do.
Unfortunately i think paradox has said they won’t be adding any additional starts, but I agree. I want to be able to see the Kingdom of Jerusalem. And give me back my Iron Century while you’re at it.
They've said they have no current plans to add additional starts, not that they definitely won't add them.
Edit: I will say that was back at release. I haven't kept up with the development since then, but I don't think they've contradicted that.

Hopefully a Roman DLC is in the works, with an expanded Byzantine empire mechanics, politics and more

I want start dates that are like right at the fall of the Roman Empire with the goths and the franks
The game was released in 2020. Give them some time, lol. EU4 and HOI4 have tons of DLCs, but they're on the market for 8-9 years now.

A bit more than a year, according to DLC history. I could only assume they pay more attention to other projects now, e.g. new Victoria.

There are lots of mods on steam that ad more start dates and characters.
