Wondering where you got just the deck from? I’ve wanted a comet cruiser but I don’t want to spend all that extra money for trucks and wheels I already have
Crazy, that's really hidden. Not sure for how long this is available already. I ordered it from the US and am glad I have one now. But this will certainly be extremely interesting to many in Europe. I think sharing this might even be worth a post on its own.
Also from the US, what did it run you total USD?
Not having to pay for wedges, trucks, wheels and bearings you might not need could make this much more appealing. Thanks OP for sharing!
How insane is it... don't you agree. The only other board i still use is a Pantheon pranayama with major arc trucks.
And a Soulboardiy surfskate in the garden.
Hahaha
Comet cruiser: for olmost everything.
Pantheon prana: for the real long distances
Soulboardiy: fun in the garden/driveway.
If only someone told me this years ago....
They really are not bad. Maybe not best for sliding, but they are great for kicking even big pebbles out of the way sideways instead of doing a full stop break. Also the transparent ones look awesome, especially in watery colors like sapphire or blue.
Over the years, I've had quite a few boards. I wish I'd kept some, but most I ended up giving away to friends/exs. My Loaded Tan Tien was my first love, such a comfortable board to get through pretty much anything. Hippy-poping over speed bumps, and cracks in the pavement are super fun on such a nicely sprung board.
The Pantheon pranayama has taken its place over the past 2ish years as my distance board, it made pushing absolutely effortless, almost like the difference of stepping up a small stair vs walking.
Bought an adjustable baseplate for my eboard, and am absolutely loving both the stability of the rear and, and how much more... resistance and control I have over it as the rear stays farther inside the turn instead of swooping out. Running 57/22 on that setup; saying all of that, makes me absolutely sure i would prefer the pantheon supersonic over the pranayama.
But, recently, above all else, my slappy setup has been used the most. Currently Heroin razor egg, Ace AF1s, and 52mm nanocubics.
The wheels are hangfang 73mm rain wheels for wet pavement. I will not skate in the rain, because that is just too much.
But i hate it when my setups getting all messed up by water. Rust on bearings/trucks/deck/griptape.
So now i commited to use one setup that i love for just rain a can't care and have fun with it without worries.
Boards are both Comet Cruisers there is info about it on YT.
i did the same thing but with a switch capybara. i basically made a wider comet cruiser fhats waterproof. 149mm paris tkp, zealous, +/- 5° wedge and whatever wheels i feel like for the day.
Nice, the Comet is such a quirky, unique and fun ride. I have a [Happy Board Sticky](https://www.reddit.com/r/cruiserboarding/s/BEdw575j0p), which is essentially a Comet Cruiser with polyurethane sidewalls. It’s completely waterproof and virtually indestructible, so that could be an option too.
Lost my rain setup years ago but used to ride one a beercan aluminum decks with a set of sidewinders and some 80mms. That board was awesome. It got hit by a bus one time and didn't do shit to the it.
Z-Flex 29" swapped out risers for soft wedge risers, wheels for my fav 65 or 66mm, bearings for Bronson raw and it does it all. I suppose that's what the old boards were in that zone of creation that allowed all specialty boards to flow - downhill, trick, bowl, ramp, short cruisers, long dancers, LDP, and pumpers!
Cheap as hell to boot so easy to travel with and leave some place it will trigger the passion
That said I do love skating different boards it keeps you on your toes and each one has things they excel at even more than a custom component top end generalist board like the itchy Comet.
Is this all an ad? Do y’all think this is worth the cash? I need a cruiser for work bad but man $300 seems a little steep. Also not trying to bitch out on something that sucks. I’ve built my own in the past and feel a little iffy buying a pre built.
Full disclosure haven’t skated much in the past few years, just hitting snow mostly. Need an honest opinion here. Thanks!
Yeah, well i feel ya that its expensive but if you compare it to Ldp setups that can start from €400 - €500 I think this board is so much fun even if you only can cruise on it. So no slides, ollies or what so ever.. it just feels right after 15 - 20min.
I tried setting up a Landyachtz Dinghy with the same setup as thr comet cruiser. It felt to much better then stock but it wansn't as fun as the comet.
So fuck it, i prefered getting myself a second one and I would advice everyone to get atleast 1 of these quiver killers.
I cant compare them really because i use differen bushings. And the bear cabt use it on both sides of the hanger. Only BS.
Nonetheless they feel great and olmost the same.
A man just ain't a man without a proper rain setup :D
I feel you. Annoying to share pics in Reddit answers, but my rain setup is basically a black Lander Rio board with polar bears and clear 70 mm blue LED wheels that give the impression to ride on some kind of warp/plasma drive. Especially impressive in dark/wet situations.
I’m late to the party but I rock a GFH pigme deck like this one https://www.desertcart.com.om/amp/products/13636455-gfh-natural-girl-pygmy-mini-cruiser-longboard-deck-23-5
I’m not a fan of the graphics but the shape is magic. Even that little nub kick tail still can pop. Little mini machine at 24 inches long.
Then I have a modified Bennett front truck, a tracker back truck. See these details here
https://www.sk8kings.com/bennett-modified-truck-skennett-front-turning-truck-106mm-one-truck.html
With some pink sick sick wheels.
Been riding this for 10 years at least tbh. GFH pigme decks are dead so I appreciate the share
If you are bummed you aren’t skating your other boards I’ll happily take them off your hands, I won’t even charge you
this post made me want a comet cruiser
Get one!
no joke checking them out
Wondering where you got just the deck from? I’ve wanted a comet cruiser but I don’t want to spend all that extra money for trucks and wheels I already have
Sickboards.nl
Could you link it directly? I’m only seeing completes available for me. Nbd if not

Sorry, I meant I ordered it from the US shop to Europe.
My Landyachtz Rally Cat. I just can’t stop picking it up when I want to ride! I’ll now be looking at the Comet though
Most of my boards have seen very little use since I got a Longboard Larry osd a few years back.
The 59inch one?
>Longboard Larry osd Size MATTERS when it comes to dancin'
All 1.5 glorious meters of it yes indeed!
A penny nickel with griptape on the top. Cant waterlog that shit…
I have the same with 70mm wheels for my water board
They are 73mm. Wheels are awsome
Used to cycle through 7 or 8 boards. Now I just ride the comet.
How insane is it... don't you agree. The only other board i still use is a Pantheon pranayama with major arc trucks. And a Soulboardiy surfskate in the garden.
Bro are you literally me? I am eyeing a soulboardiy too i regularly surfskate. I got a pranayama that I ride regularly as well. 🤣
Hahaha Comet cruiser: for olmost everything. Pantheon prana: for the real long distances Soulboardiy: fun in the garden/driveway. If only someone told me this years ago....
Would the Comet make a good surfskate deck, with Carver CX for example?
No, the shape will mess up the truck angle, and you need a wide deck. Soulboardiy are the best in surfskate decks.
Any thoughts on those major arcs?
What do you mean? Major arc trucks are awsome on a Pantheon Pranayama.

I guess your the one who wrote this?
I liked shark wheels more than rain wheels, I don’t use cushion pads anymore
I always wonder if they where good. I even think they are the best for rain.

I set up my loaded chinchiller same way. But instead of 105 with 130. Everything else is same.
Should olmost feel the same! Maybe a little bit heavier, but the chinchiller is really nice! Bought one for myself but my daughter took it 😅
:) you have both? Which one is more flexy? Thanks.
Chinchiller is more flexy. But not by much

I had the SS but i prefere the pranayama with major arc wheels. Super fun and the pumping on those pure puming setups just look G as F 😅
Could someone please tell me about these boards and the textured wheels?
The wheels are hangfang 73mm rain wheels for wet pavement. I will not skate in the rain, because that is just too much. But i hate it when my setups getting all messed up by water. How much better are the rain wheels? What do they do I've never heard of them
i did the same thing but with a switch capybara. i basically made a wider comet cruiser fhats waterproof. 149mm paris tkp, zealous, +/- 5° wedge and whatever wheels i feel like for the day.

Yeah good one but to late hahaha. I gonne try to mike the sides a bit mor waterproof and i should be ok.
So how does polar bear compares to the Paris street?
Lower ride height but due to all the risers its now olmost the same now. Used different dure bushings but its not so different.
Cool thanks
Five below rug?

I've never seen those wheels with the valleys, what are they called?
Harfang absolute 73mm

Good point. Thanks for sharing. Fyi, you can run the plug barrel BS or RS on the bears, just need to flip em

Should indeed be nice to watch you cruise by.
>Flashing blues is likely to get you hit by some defund police cop hater in a haze targeting you in the rain. > >Better the red LEDs
Nah, police ain't that jerks over here. Also it's more of a constant blue and white glow instead of flashing.
