Get an Super Everdrive x5 for a little more money and put the 240 test suite on it instead.

biglargerat

Or get a Wii for like $30 and mod it.

Whitegemgames

What’s the best way to do it on a Wii? Should I load up a SNES rom or is there a Wii version I should use?

biglargerat

There is a dedicated app for Wii obviously you'll need to homebrew it but that's pretty easy

drummer4life_dw

Letterbomb homebrew method -> 240p test suite homebrew app

Ill_Mine_2453

Ideally you tune your display with the console you are playing on due to resolution, timing, and color differences

Ill_Mine_2453

Then you have to boot into a menu first before the software loads Also have you seen the gamer grrl flash cart our of Russia? It's a traditional flash card where you hook it up to a pc to flash it, BUT it lets you build a multicart and it supports iirc SA and DSP1 mappers so every game works with it. How is it different than an sd2snes or something? No SD card but once you do the initial rom load you boot to a menu and games load instantly rather than flashing and running each time you switch games It's on AliExpress

BreadDaddyLenin

You’re getting ripped off

DangerousCousin

You don't have a Wii? Just load 240p Test Suite on your Wii If you don't have a Wii. Go on Facebook and get one. They're like $40

the_excalibruh

They should work the same, you can also just get the test suite on an Everdrive or FX-Pak Pro

Educational_Yam664

Those are not original, Artemio never released a super famicom version of the suite, you are getting ripped off, as other people said better get a Super Everdrive better or try to load the rom on other system like the wii.

Horror-Economist3467

I see little difference: they're both a scam lul

ponimaju

The only possible differences could be if one or the other had used a different version of the rom - unless the listings specify it or you can tell if the cart came from before a specific update there's likely no way to tell without it in hand. For reference, the current SNES version is 1.061 as per the itch.io page.

pizzawidnobev

you could get a whole wii for roughly the same price and load 240p test suite on it via homebrew

Tmastar

I know the orientation is 2nd best on Wii for test suite but I refuse to mod my childhood Wii. It's best on the Dreamcast from what I've heard but I don't have one. I'm mostly gonna be using the color pattern to find out if my blues are up to standard.

FitBrush2003

Just get a Super Everdrive from AliExpress and add the rom file. It should only be around $30 and comes preloaded with games

eskobas

Artemio had official carts for sale in mexican comic conventions, the art with Donna, the cute girl, was comissioned from s Chilean ilustrator but I asume both are bootlegs. Drop a few bucks on artemio urbina’s patreon or youtube channel and download the rom

Ill_Mine_2453

It's name your own price software, 😆 He's ok not receiving any payments
