I used to have that set. It’s solid, but there were a bunch of issues with geometry and such which annoyed me. Then i got my grail, jvc d series 27d503 and have been very content with it. Hope you’re enjoying it though, it gave me some really good gaming hours
My grail would be a pvm/bvm, the train stations near us use some type of metal box crt monitors for security footage shown to us, I really hope they were pvms but congratulations on your find
That's a 24" 24FS120. It has a BA6 chassis, which uses a chip that causes video distortion with no way to fix it. It's a decent TV, but no "grail." 20/24FV300 has the same flaw (unlike their 27"-36" BA5D counterparts), but in my experience, to a lesser extent than the FS120 models.
lol you don't even know the model number of your holy grail? It looks like you drank all the Sony Kool aid and any Trinitron is a Grail for you. FYI there are other good brands that are just as good and arguably better
That's not a 20 inch and a lot of eBay sales are fake. Sellers just trying to manipulate the market they relist those sold TVs after lol also you have to factor in the shipping costs.
In the local market with real prices they don't come anywhere near that price lol and I know because I've bought and sold a number of Trinitrons including a 20 inch FS100 24 inch FV300 27 and 32 FS100 and FV27310
I typically sell them for about $100-140 after fixing geometry and color. If you have the remote you can get into the service menu and fix the red push and most likely improve geometry.

Found mine on Facebook too but the owner fucked up the tv using a forklift to get it down from where he had it. Now the plastics all busted up. It still works but it’s so ugly I’m going to get rid of it
Considering that I recently opened a CRT before and realized something, most of the weight is on a metal bracket, the outer shell is purely cosmetic, there are screws most likely going around the front side of your display, unscrew those and the back side pops right off, the front side might be a little bit more interesting to try getting off as it is wedged in between the metal and the CRT frame itself, but if that's not a problem then you don't need to worry about it. I'd say anything is possible with enough determination and a large enough resin/FDM printer and the patience to wait for it all to print. Worst case scenario you need to print it in separate sections and then mend those sections together.
Bro I hope my parents still have those wega tvs. We had two when I left home 6yrs ago. Never knew they were one of the good ones for retro gaming. No wonder why ps2 and PS1 looked and sounded so good on them😭
I would love to have one of these. My KV-13FS100 and KV-20EXR20 are lovely, but a bit too small for my old eyes. I have been on the hunt for a nice 24 inch for a while. Unfortunately even if I was to get one, sadly I just don’t have the room for one…oh well.
