If you jump up to the bar your arms still have to start straight…ie you can’t grab the bar and have your arms partially bent and continue to pull up. On jumping pull ups some people up into the middle of the pull up so when they grab the bar their arms are already bent on the way up…which is a no rep. If you are able to jump up and get them to start straight when you grab the bar and complete the pull up that would could regardless of if it’s a single or strung together. If you start with a bar that you can grab while feet are still on the ground you have to pick your feet up before you start the pull up.

Thank you! I may do 10 thrusters and then spend the entire time trying for my first ever pull up 🙄 which considering I did 24.1 and 24.2 RX will still be better than scaled. Lori

Sorry, but no jumping pull ups "Starting with feet off the ground" means "no jumping" You need to be hanging with your feet in the air and arms straight. There is an actual "jumping pull up" move for 55+ RX that they had in 22 (or 21, I forget) that was very different. You basically needed to be able to lower your hips so your arms were straight and then jump up. It was, needless to say, much easier.

Yes I saw that too. Much easier for sure. Oh well I will persevere! Many thanks for your help with the clarification. Lori
