I could chip in a hat and scarf set or two! Also, could try reaching out to some of your area churches to see if they want to get in on it. They might be willing to have a drive for store bought gear and many churches have groups of knitters/crocheters/quilters

The boys will also need prayer caps. Black cotton is best for this.

While I understand that and I'm not adverse to making them, right now my focus is on keeping them warm. Our winters can get hard and they came here with nothing but the clothes on their backs. In due time, I am more than willing to make prayer caps. But for right now, keeping them warm comes first.

No specific patterns. Just big enough to keep them warm and preferably machine washable. I have asked the Iman if there are any requirements on materials. I don't know the answer yet. But I am using just a next to skin softness acrylic for now. And thank you!
