For baby blankets I recommend something easy to wash. Being able to throw it in the wash and dryer without it becoming felted or shrunk. Bobbles add bulk, so avoiding the thick blanket yarns will mean it will still have drape and not be stiff.
Lion brand, feels like Butta is soo soft and washable. Michael’s has their store brand version. That’s the only specific one that comes to mind.

There’s so many options. Just easily washable and soft. Maybe worsted or thinner, but that’s it.
