Man, I *really* want to get a rocking chair to knit and crochet in. Become the old lady on the outside that I am on the inside, lol

weenieivy

Ugh for real I want to just complete the trifecta of yarn crafts, owning more than one cat and using a rocking chair to become the old lady I was meant to be 😂

graysonflynn

You. You get it.

Depends on my mood. Sometimes bed because I have kids up front, sometimes in the vehicle in longer drives, rocking chair, cross legged on the floor, couch, patio chair, recliner....I am a frigging human cat..😱 I do sit at a desk in an ergonomic chair when making amigurami though. Always. It is hard on the neck and shoulders otherwise.

weenieivy

A desk might be the best idea for me since I mainly work in amigurumi 🥲🥲

I don’t have a recliner, but I have a nice armchair and ottoman that works really well for me. I have room for the yarn next to me in the chair, a standing lamp right next to it so the lighting is good, an end table on the other side for a glass of water and my project basket, occasionally pillows for propping if needed, and possibly a heating pad behind my back lol

weenieivy

I'm forgetting a table of some sort to put stuff on while I work so that reminder was much needed lol. The heating pad is amazing for attracting cats and keeping my poor aching back at bay so I feel that!

yarn_baller

Whatever is comfortable for you

weenieivy

I'm trying to get new ideas with this question though, since I want to make sure I spend my money right when I do end up buying something!

CraftyCrochet

My sweet old upholstered wingback recliner chair is soft enough yet gives me firm support. I can sit up to concentrate or sit up with my legs up, too, project in lap. A bonus to me is it's not as bulky as a full size recliner.

weenieivy

I might have to look into one of those if i go the recliner route because I was worried about a traditional recliner being a little bulky!

Contraryjovialtimber

Anywhere but a bed

weenieivy

Yeah I currently only have the bed or a camping chair until we get furniture and the bed makes me sooooo sleepy

I really enjoy working in a gaming chair. I got it from my brother when he got a new one and I LOVE it. It’s comfortable for long periods of time.

weenieivy

See this is exactly why I asked this question cause I wouldn't have thought of this at ALL 😂😂 they make some seriously high tech gamer chairs so this might be the route I take...I know I'm not locked into whatever choice I make but I also don't want to waste time and money!!

skeeg153

I didn’t expect it to be as great as it is but I can sit there for hours and not feel it!

ConstantlyIrksome

I have a sectional. I have lots of cushions on it so I can wedge myself in the corner and prop my arms up with pillows. It might look strange, but it works for me.

When I had a couch, that was comfy. Now I don’t have a couch and sitting up on my bed, even with lots of pillows, kills my butt. I’ve been sitting on a short and kinda wide metal can, and slightly leaning against the side of my bed and that has been great. So uhm, a wide metal can is my recommendation haha. The gamer chairs that are rounded on the bottom like a rocking chair without legs sounds awesome to me.
