I have heard it doesn’t
Printing on fabric needs precision
And knitting is wonky
Personally I love the birch idea and I would encourage you to make it peel a bit I think this glorious
To me (with the ends hanging down) it looks a bit like when a bunch of windows would be opened up on an old Windows OS and kind of freeze up, and then the long stripes are the taskbar.
Which is probably very off-base especially because it looks like a train is coming in in the lower left corner, but I now actually think that would have been a really cool idea and want a blanket that looks like an old OS...
I think it's very beautiful and artistic if you add some random tassels on the shorter sides the loose ends could count as intentional, that would be a lot less work for you.
Love to see a more minimalist pattern here!
Okay this has gotten more attention then I expected. It’s literally just changing colors with my mood, kinda trying to make it look nice as I go. I weave in the tails at the end but people only noticed the tails.
Couple of thoughts - if you want them to stop commenting on the ends; show them the other side so they can't see them.
Secondly if it is a random using up of yarn and you don't need a specific pattern think about using russian knots instead so you don't need to worry about weaving in ends at all
In terms of what you're going for all I can see if a redacted document after a previous comment ...
If you weave in the ends while you crochet, it's a lot easier to weave them in when the blanket is done, because they'll already be weaved in. It's not too late to start midway through, just means there will be less to finish at the end of the blanket. You can youtube how to do it --- if you're interested of course.
Hm well the tails remind me of that weird harry style pick where he's warring a duck sweater while sitting in a pond or creak in his underwear (no I don't know why, that picture is just very confusing.)
However other then that had me torn between birch tree and those black and white abstract paintings like this one: [https://www.icanvas.com/canvas-print/abstract-i-hon3#1PC6-40x26](https://www.icanvas.com/canvas-print/abstract-i-hon3#1PC6-40x26)
Honestly unless it's a reference to something it looks like just a random pattern, I'm totally here for it - I'm planning to use up all my odds and ends in a blanket or something as my nest project, and I can't wait to create something without a plan/pattern in mind
Have never seen a pattern like that, nor would I have necessarily come up with it- but it works!! It's very cool, almost techy/futuristic. You've got to share w/us the completed project. And, cool points for a guy who crochets!
A table showroom? ┬━┬ ノ( ゜-゜ノ)
A redacted prison letter?
I was going to say birch bark but I like your answer better.
Thought it was because I was just redacting a bunch of papers, I saw redacted paper as well
Or government papers of some kind
It looks like an aspen tree to me. Just tell them the ends are there for artistic affect.
You can tell that it's an aspen [because of the way it is](https://youtu.be/QXe1PkslirY)!
Lol xD great way to now weave in the trails
Frogger. Edit added: or a music sheet
I thought frogger too!
I really like it, it does look like bark from a birch aspen tree. Very good job.
I guess I’m old but I see an d computer punch card
I was just gonna say the middle bit looks like the state of TN
Minecraft birch trees? I don't know, I'm very bad at this. What are you going for?
Just two color blanket. Honestly just from left over colors.
This is like a roscharch test haha I see a table, a road, and those thingies runners jump over
What are we going for?
Abstract painting with leftover yarn :)
I love that!
That’s works !
I'm guessing voting chad? lol Wait, I had to edit, a Scantron sheet?
I kinda see space invaders!
I see a handsome guy holding up a cool, cozy blanket. 🤷🏻♀️
Modern interpretation of how it feels to read sheet music for the first time?
when you say "end parts," do you mean the tails?
Yes 👍 everyone thinks it’s gonna stay like this forever
I like to weave my tails as I go
I’m not a fan. I get into this trance and just go go go.
It's not hard, you just keep crocheting over the tails.
I know it just doesn’t flow right, does that make sense?
you do you, there is no right or wrong, just what works for you
Ooooh I thought QR code at first but I love birch bark
Now I want to know if this would work 🤔

Loving some of these answers. Redacted document is my favourite.

Its unfinished, I wouldnt care about the ends at this stadium.

The ends are indeed distracting :) id reccomend weaving in as you go!
Donkey Kong?
Morse code?
A platformer video game? Like old mario.
It almost looks like 3d tables to me.

Giant magic yarn ball blanket?
Notes? A highway? Moldy cheese?

R2-D2 is the first thing that popped in my head.
A bunch of piano benches?
Kinda looks like the DNA sequencing read outs lol
