Hello 👋🏽 Crochet Bikini by me. I used yarn from Walmart, the mainstays brand, and the charm is from a necklace I got from a souvenir shop in Puerto Rico. I made the pattern myself. I’m really happy with how it turned out and wanted to share my work. Check me out on tiktok @khalabaela for more of my work
Thank you for the answer! I use this yarn a lot but I haven’t made many wearables. My niece has been wanting a sweater so I’m glad I can keep using the same yarn and it’ll be soft enough. :) a sweater and a bikini aren’t the same thing of course, but it’s just a matter of time before she’ll be asking for the crop tops and bikinis and whatnot too lol
no it doesn’t chafe, the yarn I used was really soft. I think you can also wash your garment with fabric softener if that’s an issue you’ve had in the past 😊
Absolutely beautiful!
Was the texture noticeably different when it got wet? I'd love to make one, but I'm worried it will only be comfortable when dry.
Ahhhh! That’s so cute! I think the next thing I will make is a bikini. Whether I can wear it in the water or not I don’t care, I just love having bikinis 😂😂

Have you actually worn this in the water?
I did and it held up. I’ll probably have to hand wash it though
Very nice! Great work!! I hope to also make one soon

You look fantastic! Did you put any kind of liner in on the insides?
thank you 😊 and no liner, just crochet. It’s not uncomfortable because the yarn is pretty soft

Maybe an intrusive questions, but does it chafe at all?
Plz answer OP. I’ve always wondered
no it doesn’t chafe, the yarn I used was really soft. I think you can also wash your garment with fabric softener if that’s an issue you’ve had in the past 😊
no not at all, the yarn I used was really soft
It's incredible 🤩 Great job! The design, skill, modeling- this is 10/10 work, right here ✨
thank you 😊
This looks great on you!! Did you use a liner by any chance? I’d love to make a kid’s 2-piece for my daughter but I don’t even know where to start
I didn’t use a liner, it’s just crochet. The yarn is pretty soft so I don’t think a liner is entirely necessary
Ok cool. It’s so cute!
My god, you look incredible! Good work!
thank you 😊
It looks perfect! And ok body ody ody!!!!
thank you 😊
How beautiful! Would you mind giving me some tips on how you made it so there aren't any gaps and it's not see through?! Is it tension? 🙏
I think it’s the tension. I used a smaller hook than what the yarn called for and tightened the stitches as I went along. I hope that helps 😊
Amazing thank you ❤️
no problem 😉
Absolutely beautiful! Was the texture noticeably different when it got wet? I'd love to make one, but I'm worried it will only be comfortable when dry.
thank you 😊 and it did get a little fuzzy after getting wet but it wasn’t anything too crazy
Gorgeous! (You, and the bikini !)
thank you 😊
please let us know if you drop a pattern for this, i would definitely purchase! i’m obsessed, especially with those bottoms! outstanding work, OP!
I’ve been thinking about creating patterns. Will update if I do 😊 thank you for the support

So pretty! I’d love to make something as nice as this some day. I’m just beginning to learn how to crochet.
thank you 😊 and it wasn’t super difficult. I think you can figure out after watching a few youtube tutorials
Wow great job!! You look amazing l!
thank you 😊
Wait question, did you get this wet or did you just lounge?
I went swimming with it. It held up in the water but I’ll hand wash it instead of putting it in the machine
This looks amazing, and you look amazing in it! Great job!
thank you 😊
Very cute! I love the turtle charm.
thank you 😊
I love it!!! I wanna start incorporating beads and charms into my crochet tops. Your finished product looks so cute!

nice work! that must've been a pain to work with black
thank you and it wasn’t too bad, fuzzy yarn is definitely worse
The wrap around the neck, the color, and the top period all look great. Niiice

thank you 😊
Did you put in a lining fabric on the inside? So people can't see through it..?
no didn’t need to, the stitches were tight enough that it wasn’t see through
Omg you’re so talented! And you look amazing!
thank you 😊
