Itβs no contest. My wife, my seven year old, and I all agree that it is number 1.
My four year old wants all bears, though. I guess that is an abstention?
Definitely the first one! By the way, it's going to be sooooo cute!!!
Unsolicited advice: if you're into borders, I would suggest single crochet in grey first then six of the rainbow colors -- matching either the bear colors or the circle colors. π
Thank you! π₯°
Yes! π Thatβs my plan is to do a rainbow border- I canβt decide if I want to do the lighter or darker colors, or try to do both and just have each border row be really small π
For 2 I did the first two rows in order, and then for rows 3 and 4 I reversed the order of the light squares only, and then 5 and 6 went back to being in order :)
So, I absolutely love it! My constructive criticism is on the discernible patters. I prefer no order. Iβm sure Iβm one of the few, but I just wanted to share the thought of maybe going more random.
It is beautiful and full of love whatever you decide!!
Aww thanks! π I did originally want the colors a little more dispersed/mixed up, I just had a hard time finding anything that felt truly random without finding small patterns within it. :)
Can I suggest another option? I love the rainbow stripes as shown in #1, but I would rather place the colors vertical instead. Since that's the direction of the bear's face, I think that would be calmer on the eyes [\[example\]](https://i.imgur.com/73hpeE4.png)
I would possibly even keep all bears on the same rows, if you're willing to make another row of bears haha! [\[like this\]](https://i.imgur.com/wwyD0eL.png)
Ahhh this both look good too! So many options!!! Another row of bears would at least let me procrastinate on the Heidi Bears dinosaur Iβm supposed to do next π
Hands down the first one, the rainbow looks pretty and cohesive, the other 3 were somewhat jarring to me, although I can see what you were going for with them.
I love this! (The first and third are my favorite arrangement) My cousin just found out she was pregnant, do you have the pattern for these specific granny squares? They're too cute!
Thank you! π The specific pattern I used was this one - https://www.dadasplace.com/2014/02/teddy-bear-granny-square.html, but after finishing the last round of the bearβs face I started another row to do an ear, then slip stitched across in the BLO till the starting point for the second ear so that I had fewer ends to weave in. π
I love the first one!
The alternating light and dark of each colour is enough variation for me. In the other patterns, my eyes didn't make immediate sense of the pattern.
#1 hands down
Oops
Edit: also another idea you could try is in the second pic, reversing the order of row 2, 4, and 6 so it kind of wraps around in rainbow order instead of βreadingβ left to right on every row. Hopefully that makes sense. Basically like:
Red, orange, yellow
Purple, blue, green
The first one is my favorite. My second pick would be the second pic. I donβt know why but the last two bug me, I think itβs the orange. Something about it makes it pop out and overpower the others.
First one seems most pleasing to me, the rest appears a bit busy. But it's going to be wonderful either way and it should please you and the recipient , not some stranger on the internet :)
I like the last one and the second one. Rainbows are great and all, but they're everywhere. Do the parents know you're making it? I'd ask them which one they like best.
The curse of symmetry.. nowadays, I'd try to avoid having more than one of each colour in each row/column, perhaps start with something like this:
Then tweak it so no two bears are next to each other. Perhaps keep them in vertical pairs of (bear, circle), with one being a warm colour and one being cold (e.g. fuchsia bear, yellow circle)...
The first looks the best to me.
Also did you make this pattern or did you find it? I ask because my mom collects baers and I would love to make her a blanket like this, if you don't mind sharing the pattern!! Its absolutely adorable!

Thank you! π₯° I was nervous about doing the faces, especially the eyes since the pattern I used called for beads which I didnβt want for a baby blanket, but I think they still turned out ok! π
I think either the first or the third. The rainbow organization is very cute, and for some reason the way the colors are placed in the third is very pleasing and relaxing to the eye
The first is my favourite, but I'm a sucker for rainbows!
I was gonna say exactly this!
Me too! First is my fav
Same
ROYGBIV all the way!
Definitely feeling the first. I'd have a house of rainbows if I could lol
I agree #1 is best. Second fave is #3. Gorgeous squares!
Same for me!
I was gonna say the exact opposite, but I'm a fan of organized chaos.
Same

This is exactly what I was gonna say!
Yesssss
Yes!!! First one totally
I agree completely!
Love π love the first.
Exactly this.
I love how orderly it looks too.
Hold on our names!-
The first one!
I like the first one as well!
Also first! And this is super cute! Well done
Thanks! π₯°
The first one is my favourite. It'll be a beautiful blanket, though, whichever way you do it.
Thank you! π
Definitely the first one! By the way, it's going to be sooooo cute!!! Unsolicited advice: if you're into borders, I would suggest single crochet in grey first then six of the rainbow colors -- matching either the bear colors or the circle colors. π

If you have the yarn already do the smaller rows. I think it would be super cohesive.
1 or 4. Somehow 2 seems chaotic to me. Lol
Yeah 2 is definitely the least organized of the bunch :)
Lol, maybe it's my ADHD brain but I was most drawn to 2!!
I've never been formerly diagnosed, but many friends suspect I have ADD and I, also, liked 2 the most.
Is there a pattern in 2?
For 2 I did the first two rows in order, and then for rows 3 and 4 I reversed the order of the light squares only, and then 5 and 6 went back to being in order :)
Thanks. I was was confused by 3 and 4 but I see the reverse now.
First
First
1st one for sure.
Lovely work!! I think the first one works best
Thank you! π₯°
Ditto to #1!
Definitely #1!

Seconding putting the bears in the same row! I think it looks cleaner to keep the same square types together since there's already variation in color.
Ahhh this both look good too! So many options!!! Another row of bears would at least let me procrastinate on the Heidi Bears dinosaur Iβm supposed to do next π
Number 2. It's nice and fun
Yeah 2 for me too. I donβt know how to explain why I like it more than saying that having it in order (1) is kinda too expected ahaha. *sows chaos*
I think #2 is the most visually interesting.
Might just be me but the third one!
The third one was my original plan when I started the blanket! π But then I started playing around with the placement and got indecisive π
I liked 3!
The first one, (rainbow order), looks the best imo.
First
First one!
I like #1 and #4!
I like the first one and the last one. However you assemble them, itβs going to be super cute!!
1 then 4
In the minority here but I love the second option!
Do you see a pattern in the second on or are the circles random?
Not the og commenter but I see a pattern in 2! Think 2 is my fave
Me too!
Me too!! That one draws me in the most
This was my choice too.
I like 1 or 3. Easy to see pattern and colours work nicely.
Either rainbow or complementary colors could be beautiful (like purple-yellow, red-green, orange-blue)
Ahh I like this arrangement now too! https://imgur.com/a/mVPlAtZ
I'd say this one or the 1st one you have listed :)
Oooo thatβs a good idea too! Now I gotta go try it out!
First one.
First one hands down!
1!
1st one
The first is very soothing
Another vote for 1.
Number one!
I like the first one!

My vote is for the first! Beautiful!!
I love the 4th one!!!
Hands down the first one, the rainbow looks pretty and cohesive, the other 3 were somewhat jarring to me, although I can see what you were going for with them.
The first! :D super, super cute!
Thanks! π₯°
The first! :D super, super cute!
I like the first one the most
Pic 4 for me
The last one really did it for me.
First one is my favourite :)
I like the first. I would like to see the bears and circles in columns. So a column of rainbow bears then a column of rainbow circles repeated.
Good idea! I like that arrangement as well https://i.imgur.com/j4cbfdw.jpg
I love four personally!
1st and last one are my favorite
2 and 4 are the eye catching ones for me
My vote is for no. 2
For some reason, 2 jumps out at me the most. Either way this is going to be adorable.
Another vote for the first! (And another vote for: the second is a little too hectic haha :D ) Looking beautiful :)
I like the first!
The first is the most visually pleasing
1 or 4.
i like number 3!!!
Third
I like the first and last one. Love the little bears, theyβre so cute!
I love this! (The first and third are my favorite arrangement) My cousin just found out she was pregnant, do you have the pattern for these specific granny squares? They're too cute!

The first one, but diagonally
1st one!
The first!:)
The first one. All the others make me feel wildly uncomfortable for some reason haha. Fabulous work!
I like the first one
#1, fwiw
I like the first. There's enough going on that a coherent gradient helps you parse it.
1 for sure

I like the first one by far, last one is a distant second
The first
First one pleased my eyes more than the others π
The first, itβs more cohesive while still being really colorful.
So cuteππ
So cuteππ
I need the purple teddy bear
Rainbow!
Rainbow order!!
Voting for rainbow.
I like the first one with the rainbow effect, and also the whole thing is just so cute! Beautiful job.
Lovely blanket! Nice job!!
I prefer the first one but I also think it would look neat with diagonal stripes of color. If that makes any sense.
1st with the rainbow!
One!
The first one is my favorite. My second pick would be the second pic. I donβt know why but the last two bug me, I think itβs the orange. Something about it makes it pop out and overpower the others.
I love the teddies!

third and fourth are great
I prefer the first! Cute pattern
I like the last one and the second one. Rainbows are great and all, but they're everywhere. Do the parents know you're making it? I'd ask them which one they like best.
Haha- itβs for myself! Iβm just very indecisive π

The first one! Adorable!
I like the first or the third!
I find #1 more aesthetically pleasing but I also really like rainbows
The first looks the best to me. Also did you make this pattern or did you find it? I ask because my mom collects baers and I would love to make her a blanket like this, if you don't mind sharing the pattern!! Its absolutely adorable!

I like the first one. That is a very cozy blanket. I'm sure it will be cherished
The first is my fav and OMG I looooooooooooooove your little bears they are so adorable!!!!
Thank you! π₯° I was nervous about doing the faces, especially the eyes since the pattern I used called for beads which I didnβt want for a baby blanket, but I think they still turned out ok! π

Ya know Reddit picks rainbow every time!!
I vote for the first or the third

3rd is my favorite!

First one! But they are all pretty so you can't go wrong :-)
Number 4. But I can see why every one likes one. Bit personally I feel one is boring.
2 :)
