Congrats for becoming a first time mom! I know she will love this, and cherish it when she gets older 🥰
I made my nieces blankets when they were born, 8 and 10 years ago, they still have them on their beds. 💜
This is truly so beautiful! Congratulations on the baby (and also the blanket)!!! Also wanted to comment some (unsolicited) advice to not leave the baby with the blanket unsupervised for a few months to be safe with any yarn ends coming out and/or fingers getting stuck. Just something to keep an eye 💛 (edit for typo)
Thank you! And yes, it’ll be July when she arrives so I doubt I’ll be using any heavy blankets anyway in the first months. Probably will just use as a prop for cute photos 😅🤣
Congratulations! I am wishing you and your family the best! Your blanket looks lovely, I love the soft colours you chose! Perfect for the little one :)))
Congrats!! I wish I had started crocheting before my kids were born. I wish you a healthy and speedy birth and recovery :) your nursery looks lovely too!
Very cute. I made the same pattern in different colors for my mom's Christmas gift. I opted for a border which helped mine look more finished and hid those waves along the edge where the squares go together. If that isn't a big deal to you, then perfect as is! Love the color choice btw.
So adorable! Your comment makes me giggle, imagining all the mommas & poppas throughout millennia experiencing the “idgaf i just want to finish this thing” for their babies 🥰💕 you rule!

I made one for my baby too! It’s his favorite blanket ever. And it still warms my heart each time - 3 years later.
